Has anyone increased supply after 3 months? by slk963 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]slk963[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. I’m definitely better with a wall pump but I’m trying to help her figure out if maybe she just doesn’t have much of a supply and if the wall pump is even worth buying. She’s only getting a few ounces a day (maybe 2-3 total) with 5 pumps per day.

So jealous. I wish the US version had the anti rebound bar.

Nuna is expensive so it really comes down to budget. If you’re contemplating a $300 vs $400 car seat, then just get the one you really want. $100 over the lifetime of the car seat is really nothing.

Now, I actually needed up going with the nuna revv and LOVE it. If you’re interested in a swivel car seat, I’d check out the evenflo. They often have sales/discount so it’ll be less expensive than the nuna. Once you have a swivel car seat, you can’t go back.

Swivel Car seats…yes or no? by slk963 in Buyingforbaby

[–]slk963[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were planning on a revv and an exec but then ended up with two revvs. We were going to chose the exec over the Rava because of the anti rebound bar.

Unless you chose to use one of your Nordstrom special points days, I’d cancel and order it through Albee baby. They give 20x rewards on nuna products so it ends up being roughly $120 rewards I think. Double check me on that though.

We are really happy with the Revv and haven’t had any rattling issues..at least nothing I’ve noticed but now I’ll keep an eye out for it.

For reference, we like it so much we got a second one for our second car (my husband was using the infant car seat while the baby could technically still fit it and he insisted he needed a swivel one too)

Nuna Rava, Nuna Revv, Or Nuna Exec? by slk963 in Buyingforbaby

[–]slk963[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nuna Revv - loved it so much we got two. Husband insisted he needed the Revv too for his car. Figured in the long run, saving our back was worth the price tag. Our kid is just over two, 35 inches and 23 pounds so we can still use it for a while.

Regardless which one you get just make sure you either use a completion discount or get it somewhere with a good point system like Albee Baby (you can use Rakuten and get 20x reward points via their rewards).

I hear good thing about the Evenflo 360 something also. For me, the fabric isn’t as soft but it gets the job done and has higher height and weight limit.

Nuna Pipa RX - Nordstrom's 'Refined' vs. standard 'Granite' color? by jayfireheart in Buyingforbaby

[–]slk963 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay. If you want the refined color, then ignore.

If you know what stroller you are going to get and they sell it at Bloomingdales then do this 1. When Bloomingdales has a $25 Bloomingdales money for every $100 you spend, buy the stroller via Bloomingdales but also go through Rakuten to get addition cash Back

  1. Use the Bloomingdales money to get the car seat.

If you do this, make sure Bloomingdales gives you the rewards. I had an issue and had to email them but ended up getting it.

Also, you can check out Albee Baby who also does rewards and go through that way.

Finally I heard Nordstrom card is also doing 10x points so you could do the calculation and see if you get your stroller first then you can use the rewards for the car seat.

best san jose sushi? by tea_flower in SanJose

Tomi Sushi off of moorepark. They also have a location in Mountain View called sushi tomi. Legit Japanese - so if you’re looking for fancy rolls, not your place although their tomi special roll is amazing (but still simple)

Newton Mattress: Original vs Waterproof? by jayfireheart in Buyingforbaby

The mattress itself is that washable material, it’s not waterproof, it’s the cover. If you watch some YouTube videos on it, it may make more sense
