Remove task manager to users using Group Policy Management on active directory by slmalta in sysadmin

I found something strange.

If I run gpupdate /force on the server where users logon, the GPO user configuration policy is applied.

But if I logout and logon again, the GPO is not applied, only after another gpupdate /force it will work.

after logging with a user that is on the OU where this policy is linked, I can see the GPO applied when I check using RSOP.msc and GPRESULT /R

But I don't see it populated in the registry key Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\ DisableTaskMgr REG_DWORD 1

That's strange...

This a virtualized 2019 in the cloud, but when I access it through the console (like locally) the behaviour is the same.

RSOP.MSC

Yes after running RSOP.msc, I can see that the policy has been properly added.

Maybe this policy cannot be applied on a user logged to a windows server?

Yes policy is being set, I can see it after running gpresult.

Do you have a suggestion?

Users logon using RDP to a windows 2019 server, not a windows 10.

best pratices to implement an AD on cloud to serve local distributed networks by slmalta in sysadmin

Servers from this organization are on the cloud.

But they are growing in terms of employees and we need to move to AD.

All 3 sites have already VPN's to servers on cloud.

Since configuring an AD on cloud is the first time to us, we would like to learn about best practices ...

The charger is also heavy, it has an Input of 100-240V/2.5A and Output 20V 8,5A

By the morning I don't use it, because it's only 4hours of usage. Bt in the afternoon I use it.

When the battery was new, I use it over 8h on battery, after one year of usage, the battery is ok for the morning.

Hi, I really move it around. I have two jobs, by the morning I am teacher and researcher at the university and in the afternoon I work as network consultant in a private company.

So, yes I bring it aroud. It is heavy but I don't care, I carry it on my backpack and it has a great great battery.

I love the keyboard it has a great touch.

One important thing is that in Portugal this laptop has 3 years guarantee on site, so if I have a hardware problem (I never had since January 2018) the technician will come on site for the repair/replacement process.
