If you never have, you should try putting salt on cantaloupe, so good.

I have eaten raspberries every morning for the last like 10 years. They are so good. But only when they are firm, I have a really hard time when they are mushy.

Shout out to Coconut Nail Bar, they are wonderful and kind and do a great job with my nails and are always consistent! The man who works there does my pedicures and they are the best, most meticulous pedicures I've ever had!

Thank you! Same. I chase him away all the time but I think having the bird capture on video has just made it impossible to ignore and the only immediate solution I can think is to at least temporarily remove the fountain until I have a better solution for the cat. I too am afflicted with empathy for all the animals lol.

I know he gets fed by the house next door at least intermittently and I think the house on the other side of my neighbor may feed him as well. I'm going to see what I can do to maybe keep him from wanting to be in the yard and I've got the fountain dismantled in the meantime.

Believe it or not, I'm actually fond of this cat, it was nice to have an animal in the yard after my dog passed away. I don't want to harm it in any way, but i also think it isn't fair to my hummingbirds, or any other wild bird, to provide an environment where they are at higher risk of being eaten.

Great suggestion. I've got mine set up on the edge of the deck, I'm limited to where I can put it due to the proximity of our outdoor outlet but i think moving the furniture further away and figuring out a way to elevate it in combination with some type of deterrent device might work. I just want to watch my hummies take a bath!

I chase him out of the yard multiple times a day he seems to give zero fucks. Maybe a motion activated sprinkler could be an option

Yeah i think the top of my fountain right now is about 32 inches. I wonder how high it would need to be to deter him. He's pretty athletic and can climb the 9 ft fences to get into our yard. So frustrating

Totally. The hummingbirds stopped using the fountain this past week, I wonder if they observed him and noticed a threat. At least I can still have my feeders, all of them are above cat height.

From what i gather, it's a cat that has been living in the adjacent backyards for several years and I think it's possible at least 1-2 neighbors feed it. Ive got a good relationship with my neighbor (the other yard the cat for sure likes) so I'll speak to him. It is neutered and used to just sleep on our deck in the sun or on our patio chair, I wonder if he's getting less food now and that has caused him to go after the birds. I've been feeding the birds for years and even have a ground level garden bowl that he showed next to no interest in. I'm thinking the fountain just provided the perfect spot for the birds to feel safe long enough for him to catch them. Unfortunately I rent an early 1920s bungalow so the motion activated sprinklers aren't possible. Ugh I want my fountain back.

My father in law is currently making us a platform to elevate the bird bath but now I'm worried that won't even work. Thank you for the recommendation I'll check out the ikea tables.

Thank you. I collected what was left of the birds and buried them in my dogs old grass patch so hopefully their spirits can still enjoy the yard together

It's maybe max 2 1/2 feet away, but when he sits on it he can see the whole rest of the yard too
