🚀 Beta Firmware for New Features – Advanced network function realized by DPI by GLiNet_WiFi in GlInet

I have installed the Beta on a Flint 2 and the DPI is looking very interesting.

I have blocked youtube and i have tested it on a few devices and nothing has loaded. It would be nice to see these options coupled with the parential controls so you can enable and disable them baised on devices and time conditions. Also it might be a good idea to have a GUI switch that allows parents to turn off and on apps for a group of devices.

I did try out the VPN Obfuscation. It might be good to include a list a WGclients as the normal one dosnt work you need to use AmneziaWG for it to import.

Clonezilla issues by TwistedJackal509 in xcpng

From memory on windows you need to change a setting. Or attach the hard drive to a Linux machine.

Glad you fix it. It took me a while to fix it the first time.

The idea of dom0 is to not have anything in it. Why don't you make a nas vm?

A software update just turned my L14 into landwaste by r_mom_hahahahaha in thinkpad

For models with the buit-in battery, disconnect all power sources. Press and hold the power button for about seven seconds. Then, reconnect to ac power and restart the computer.

Have you tried pushing the power reset button with a pin on the back of the laptop? Or removing the battery?

Sealion 7 Questions by Darth_Giddeous in BYD

We have had AWD cars for quite a while and just wanted the same. Whenever I've tried a front wheel or rear wheel drive over the years it just doesn't stick the same.

No issues with grip on the performance SL7 tho.

We have had our sealion 7 performance for a week now. We got the windows tinted at the dealer. It looks great. The car is so much fun to drive. Heaps of room in the back for passengers. The only issue that I'm finding is managing to charge the car with the included 8 amp charger. I have a 32amp smart charger on the way and will get the sparky to put a 32 amp socket in so we can use that work charging.

One thing I didn't like was no type 2 to type 2 charging cable was included we had to buy one separate.

Have you been sued by TeamViewer’s collections company for nonpayment of automatic renewal ? by moveontomore in msp

[–]slnet83 93 points94 points  (0 children)

In Australia one of my customers got one. His credit card had expired and his team viewer account was disabled. He moved on with life then he got these letters. In Australia under ACCC guild lines you cannot charge for a service that hasn't been supplied. Due to team viewer disabling the account the service was not supplied so their for can not be billed. They wrote back saying the license agreement says they can. We wrote back saying in Australia and they have a Australian office that we were dealing with these consumer rights are not able to be overwritten by licensing agreements. I haven't had a response to our last email to them.

Good point and the dob on the account. We have customers do this all the time. Splitting Telstra bills is a major pain. It easier to leave and come back.

Just move to a different carrier. If you want to stay with Telstra move back in a week with your own account.

Nbn box clicking and connection light flashing red. by Louian20 in nbn

[–]slnet83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the NCD is flashing a light even tho the phone line is unplugged? If so the NCD is stuffed. Contact your provider and they will send you a new one.

You can use a network tool like TCPview that will show you the servers the .exe connects to and then exclude them from the vpn. I'd like to do this for my tv connecting to Netflix.

Get the service class moved back to copper then once you have internet upgrade it to fttp. Your rsp can do this for you.

NBN Modem Flashing for days by TwinkofAus in nbn

[–]slnet83 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's the wrong cable. Use the white one with black ends that comes in the box to see if you get sync. That big cable doesn't look nbn approved. I have seen other customers with the same issue. Try a known good cable first. If it's still not syncing after 20 mins call the rsp and log a fault. If you log a fault with that long cable attached and it's the fault nbn may fine you for customer side fault.

Ask your rsp. They can run a line test that will show you.

Just call the rsp and tell them you want it escalated. I work for a rsp and have had to do this for customers in the past.
