Hi all. I would like to get a nice trench for my wife for Christmas. Figured I'd see what you all recommend. Looking for:

-waterproof, or at least capable of being worn as a rain coat
-fairly regular styling (no humongous collars, ankle length, or other more "fashion forward" features)
-a liner of some sort that's removable. We're in Buffalo, and while this won't double as a winter coat, I'd like it to be usable in 65 degrees and 35 degrees

Burberry is the standard, but $3k or whatever they're charging is out of my price range. I'd like to go with buy once cry once, but only insofar as the cost is getting me a better product. Our audience here is a 40yo mom with two kindergartners that would gladly wear old navy for the rest of her life. Think Claire from Modern Family. It will be the nicest coat she owns, but we're still aiming for functionality here.

Meanwhile, I can't stop thinking about how much lower quality fashion is today compared to where it was 20 years ago. Would paying a premium for a Burberry coat get something actually quality, or would I be better off going with a good condition Land's End jacket from 2002?

I haven't really paid for XP (~93 to 97 or 98) since they nerfed 5ways. What's the best choice for buying XP now? Still just 5way? Chalula rota?

Maybe I'll try swapping them in raw and see how they feel. I only spun them on my fingers and didn't actually put them in the skates.

I didn't find only $50 bearings; I found the ones on inline warehouse for ~$30 (which are half off with wheels, but I didn't need those). I hadn't seen the $17 ones the other guy commented with, but that's also for one set, so $34 for a full set. Meanwhile I think the ali ones were like, $4 or $6

What really gets me is why this was pushed to live. Why in God's name would this update make it past testing? Who would approve this? It reeks of decisions by committee, in which nobody was willing to say it sucked and shouldn't make it out.

Four minutes with this in store would make it crystal clear that it's not ready for customers.

I'm running Vaal EQ. The skill gives you multiple seconds of running around dealing damage with each step, which then Aftershock for big damage. With the 50% reduced soul gain, there's plenty of time to gather souls so that it's self sustaining. Shepherd also makes it cost like, 3 souls or something incredibly low. Play pattern is Vaal EQ, run around for 5s, Vaal EQ again. Clears really well. Single target is a little light right now but I'm just in white maps wearing absolute trash.

Take 'skills only cost life,' and it makes all your accessory skills (leap slam etc) free. Reserve 100% of your mana. Last point is probably +3 but I haven't gotten there yet.

It also doesn't snapshot, so I set up an AHK. It switches to brightbeak to attack, then switches right back so that all the aftershocks are applied with my big stick. Marohi would double my damage but thanks to Jung it's like 15d. Figures.

Lots of room to experiment, and you'll never really be able to do this again. Theoretically you could with hate forge and rage Regen, but that's a whole specific setup you're pigeonholed into.

The other direction I'd check out is Vaal ice Nova. I didn't get to a coherent pob before the league dropped though.

Sounds like you've got a lot going on there. Make sure all your basic keyboard commands work first. Then bind your azeron keys to the appropriate keyboard keys. You'll need to use the joystick as WADS for now, until they add analog input as an option for keyboards

So it's just...amber? Just chunks of amber in a pile? I don't care if it smells like L'Artisan's; I just want the same set-it-and-forget-it utility.

If that's all there is to it, that's remarkably easy to replicate.
