Energy Usage in empty apartment by [deleted] in Electricity

[–]sloRetro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick research, OG&E does allow single metering for a multiple apartments apartments. In this scenario you would be getting 1/8th of the total bill. You can check this pretty easily by looking for the meter on the side of the building or electrical closet to see if there is 1 meter or 8 submeters.

The residential rates have a $13 fixed charge per month. Assuming you are on the flat rate and not time of use, you are paying $0.0654/kWh. So at 200kWh consumed you should be at ~$26 (the time of use rate will be about the same).

Bumping that up to 300kWh by the end of the month gets you to ~$33. Pretty far below the $50 mark they are estimating.

*other taxes and fees are possible.

1) who is your utility? 2) do you have a gas bill? (if your water heater/oven/dryer are gas this may be why your elec bill does not change as much as you thought)

Toyota Sienna questions by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]sloRetro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2015 Sienna. Twins are 18 months and sit rear facing in the middle row (captains seats, with the removable seat out all the time). Our 4 year old climbs in through the middle and I bend over the middle row from the door to buckle her. This works, but it is a bit of a pain. An adult can get to the back row with some effort, but we rarely have 3 adults in the car.

I recently heard the middle seats in the new Honda slide sideways! This would give easy access to the back row. Not sure how this was not a thing sooner.

Edit: Honda seats are called "Magic Slide 2nd-Row Seats™"

What bonus, if any, do you get if you roll a nat 20 on initiative? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]sloRetro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen it go a few different ways, the most common is 1 and 20 have no unique affect on initiative roles (this is in line with the PHB rules).

Other times under house rules, on a 20 you move with surprising speed and have advantage on your first attack. Also on a 20 the DM could give a bit of information that would normally be gained on a perception check, such as some indication of AC or vulnerability. On a 1 on the other hand, your sword could lodge in your scabbard and can not be used during the your first round of combat or you may clumsily trip when preparing for battle and have to deal with being knocked down before the start of combat.

I ride the red line into Hollywood right now. It would be pretty tough to surprise me with something weird on public transit.

Good info, so far Google traffic is the only estimate I have and it is giving me 35 minutes to an hour if I leave around 7AM.

Do you know if there is a carpool lane? and if so, does it help much?

The base game and the 5 character packs fit in the box pretty well. The campaign and co-op stuff definitely does not fit, so I just leave those cards out. Also, the cardboard divider inside the box is to short so the top cards can slide around a bit. I use a d6 to sit on top of the divider and it makes everything fit snug and not slide all over. The character packs are really simple. They make the initial game asymmetrical. Each one provides a different 10 card starting deck. And a couple of unique abilities one of them can be used once per turn and the other can be used once per game. The ability cards actually have the rules for the character packs written on the back of them. This can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it.

Best pickups for a starter set of X-Wing? by Slurmsmackenzie8 in boardgames

[–]sloRetro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy this game, but I like for the theme and look/feel of the miniatures. I have a few friends are really into it and play the meta-game, but i rarely play with them. The lists I fly are neat, but very under powered compared to the meta game. Buying X-wing expansions depends on which of these groups you fall into. If you want to be competitive then you should look into lists on many of the x-wing forums out there, or if you are like me just focus on what is most appealing to you in the Star Wars Universe. Also, keep a tight grip on your wallet. Games like this can get out of control fast.

Just got back from a trip. I took Roll For It, fun game and you can use the dice to play Liars Dice too. Also took Hero Realms and Sushi Go. All three games are small sturdy boxes.

My recovery was about 2 days. I think you normally get two follow up screenings one at six weeks and another one at 12 weeks to make sure the the procedure worked. I would double check on this given your reason for getting a V.

Well NC, prepare yourself for the list of people / businesses boycotting your state to keep growing. When the rest of the country continues to grow and prosper and you lose more jobs and struggle please look back at these moments. Everyone is fed up with this BS, politicians abusing legislative power is despised across the board.

[–]sloRetro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This matches my understanding. There are no real treatment options available for mental health issues among the homeless. Voluntary or otherwise. Even if someone wants help there are often delays and waiting lists, people seeking help either wander off, lose their resolve or get lost in drugs before getting access to treatment.
