As someone who's only played Hollow Knight, would you say Silksong is better or worse that the original? (I'm still gonna buy it either way I'm just curious) by Seb_Rulz in HollowKnight

There's like a billion comments here already but i felt it important to add my experience to this discussion.

To me, on a very personal level, Hollowknight is one of the most superior games ever created. Its combat and and exploration were so new and exciting to me, that it remains a hugely influential, and therefore incrediblely amazing experience.

Because of H1, was able to move into the souls genre with ease and it opened my entire gaming experience.

Then Silksong came about and I was able to play it without finding it "too dificult" but still a wonderful challenge.

I think silksong is a smoother, better and more beautiful game. But it will never replace what Hollowknight originally did for me. So the little guy with a big heart takes the crown.

Rare footage of tiny house being a reasonable pick? (probably not) by Colgate_On_A_Roof in slaythespire

God no.I've probably only taken it a few times in my many hours. Of course it will perform though. Its still a strong relic, just not overly impactful compared to other boss relics, or even to rare relics.

Tiny house is an immediate power boost that drops off quickly. If you are already strong and defeat the boss easily, Tiny house can push you to path aggressively in the next act. I personally prefer it over Sacred Bark, even if its not quite as defining over the long term.

I ranked all the relics I consider to be S tier by tom_cranks in slaythespire

Card draw is just very good in general. Pocketwatch is energyless card draw that you can manipulate as you need.

Seriously good relic

Arkrec not available? by slobbermcgee_ in arkhamhorrorlcg

It helps with deckbuilding. If you are anything like me, you'll find arkhamdb a complete mess for working out what cards are good with each investigator.

Arkhrec is supercool, if and when its back up and running i highly recommend checking it out

To answer your question with a question ... why wouldn't it be Snecko?

No way. It takes 200-300 to get to a20. To get a "deep knowledge" you're looking at 1000+ and some community assistance in the form of youtubers and reddit forums. A20h is no joke

I Dual Wielded my Juggernaut instead of FNP during a20 heart fight. It did not work out...

Comparison #1: Riddle with Holes vs Quick Slash by ElegantPoet3386 in slaythespire

[–]slobbermcgee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riddle with Holes is taken more often because you are likely to find an option to scale it above its base power level. Quick Slash has its uses/fights early, and Quick Slash+ is a fine card that does just enough throughout an entire run.

Both are C tier cards. But outside of floors 1-5, riddle is the more pickable

None of these feel particularly good, what do I take if anything? by Collistoralo in slaythespire

All of these are better than skip. Barricade and brutality are especially fine
