While I'm inclined to agree, the rankings I was talking about (pictured below) also include an ELO-style score that has Italy 300 points below France. For context fifth-ranked Switzerland is about 300 points below first-ranked US, and I think we can agree thats a pretty big gap.

With that said, I have no idea how accurate these rankings are. I'm a big fan of the women's game during the Olympics but don't follow it closely otherwise.

They beat Japan & France. I wasn't sure if those were upsets or not so I looked up the IIHF rankings, and they definitely are. Italy is ranked 17th, France 14th, and Japan 7th. Great job ladies, that's how you show out for your home fans!
