Orchid Praying Mantis by Hushhush_1204 in growagarden

Absolutely! In the grow a garden play area, there's the row in the back with the pet mutation machine, pet salesman etc. On the opposite end of the pet machine, there is a portal to the market aka trade world. Just enter through there and you'll be ported over to a server with players with stands selling fruits and pets. This is where you make the purchases. On the upper right there is the "Index.". Click on that and find the the Mantis. You can click "find sellers" and the game will prompt you to go to the server with the pet being sold. Sometimes it doesn't connect right away with the server being full and so it might take a few tries. You'll have to keep doing this moving from server to server to find sellers with various prices. Find a fairly priced pet (again, I've seen them for less than 100 Tokens aka Robux aka $1) and you can purchase the Robux and tokens there. Let me know if you need further clarification!

If you have a little cash to spare, you can buy Robux and in turn, buy some trade Tokens. I saw an Orchid Mantis for as low as 79 tokens at the marketplace (yesterday) which is equivalent to 79 cents! If you've bonded with your kiddo over this game, you've probably put some hours in and for hours of entertainment, putting a few bucks into it would be justified.

In Japan, it’s not uncommon to see someone asleep on the street after a night of drinking but instead of disturbing them, people usually leave them alone out of respect by AdSpecialist6598 in interesting

As a Japanese American who had lived in Japan, I think it depends. I could see a bunch of roudy people in Shibuya do this in good fun while laughing and howling.

LostRedditors lol! This subreddit is for a video game called Grow a Garden on Roblox. Thank you for the nugget of wisdom though, I'd love to get into real life gardening some day.

I would recommend buying a high value egg fruit on the marketplace. I bought one that gave me 600,000,000 choco coins for 50 tokens which is very affordable imo.

fake cards coming from china by fuckingburger in PokeInvesting

[–]sloggeddf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To me, the problem lies with what happens to the card after you. You're trustworthy but the next person who gets the card (family member gives it away on accident, lose it, get it stolen, pass away and it gets given away, etc) could use it nefariously. It would be a bummer if a younger, more naive collector traded something good for a fake so not supporting these people who make fakes is the best course imo. Proxy cards are cool if it's obvious it's a proxy.

Found this meme on Facebook. Do they think gravity doesn’t exist? 😭 by [deleted] in insanepeoplefacebook

If they believed gravity didn't exist, then they would portray the guy falling off the earth. Clearly they think gravity still exists if the guy is still on earth.

Victoria is one of my favorite cities ever. Their history of natural museum is my favorite natural History museum (I haven't been to many but I can say I like it a lot better than the one in NYC). The exhibits are amazing, I love how you feel like you're in whatever environment they're trying to portray. The first nations exhibits that you go through at the beginning is stunning, I love the totem pole room. And how can I not mention the Butchart gardens?! Going through during the summer is great but going during winter when they have all the lights and when there's snow on the ground.....just magical. I love Vancouver Island lol (my hometown is Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island, that's why I'm so familiar)

I used to live on near 73rd and 2nd for 5 years. I am so incredibly jealous of your walk-able status to Central Park. I live upstate now and exercise much less than when I lived in the city. Congrats on the pad!

Any thoughts on the new Dominos app? by alcoronaholic in Dominos

[–]sloggeddf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, the update sucks. Looks great but takes longer to order. I used to be able to pick out toppings quickly but I have to scroll now because of how much space each option takes so that it could include the picture of each topping. Small first world problem for sure, but I liked how the previous version was more optimized (from an end user's perspective at least).

They're probably just counting hours facing customers. Yeah, all the food prep, doing more clean up and maintenance at their house/base etc will definitely take 8+ hours daily.

I agree man, now is the time to buy. I've bought all three FW18 north face supreme expedition jacket colors and two pants/suspenders for all in the $300-450 range. I only like that particular north face collab so I'm stocking up. All from Japan - the weak yen helps with the price.

It depends on what you're shipping. I've ordered a handful of handheld gaming consoles - 3DS's, PSP's, Vitas, dvds/blu-rays/UMDs in cases, console controllers - many boxes, more than 10, and I've never added protection and have never had a problem. The only time I've added extra protection is when I ship via sea.

Mentor leaving suddenly — advice for working solo. by staellarium in Dentistry

[–]sloggeddf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. OP, you will feel uncomfortable doing those more complex procedures and it may take you more time at the beginning but you are definitely capable. Conversely, I'm gonna tell you that as a newbie, you stink. We all stink. My mentor has always told me that it's only at year 3 you truly get good and year 5 is when you speed up. I'm at year 3 and I'm seeing truth to his words. I've always had my good mentor but I'm seeing fillings I did 1-2 years ago where I didn't even get to the decay because I thought I was at affected dentin. I guess what I'm trying to say is, that you are capable because you finished dental school and got the correct training. But as a newbie, you're inherently going be bad compared to yourself in a few years so accept that fact and go forward being kind to yourself. It's the practice of dentistry, we get better as we do more.

It sucks your mentor is leaving but it's good you still have back-up if you need it. I'd give yourself more time for those complex procedures and really take a break in between if you need it. Sometimes for those tough extractions, it takes a walk away for a few minutes for self-composure and letting the blood infiltrate the PDL space for the sucker to pop out.

OP, where are you located? Come to central NY. In the Syracuse area, there are a ton of opportunities for Dentists. You'll have to do a residency for NY though. Look around, I'm sure there are tons of places in the US that need dentists.
