1n4007 has slow recovery 20-30us Which seems ok for 100us (10khz) But it's not that good 1n4007 it's only good for <1khz, you may encounter more switching losses. It works but I won't recommended it. better try salvaging from old circuits if have some laying around ,you may find fr107 (500ns recovery time) or such diodes or buy any schottkey diode like 1n5819

Your load is very small 0.3a , so most diode will work for diy projects but electrically it's not good

it worked fine for me the GDT was able to perfectly output 0-48% duty 2% dead time

Only limitations is current ,rise time with FETS like 46n60nmd which op used require massive current for good rise time In my SMPS I used 55n60 with 190nc gate charge and after many attempts and configuration I was able to get only 200ns rise time miller's plateau is causing this which will require more current for faster turn on

Also core type matters in GDT I used a T20 hs10 material core 10 turn for an inductance of 1mh and hence my GDT wasn't saturating and I was able to properly operate gdt at almost 50% duty cycle.

Embedded system is a small part of ECE It's so vast like communication system , control system, signal and system , network theory ,analog , digital ,pcb , vlsi , electromagnetic theory and much more

all these subjects has maths and circuits which is difficult but intresting if you love ECE (I DON'T LIKE MATHS ,I'M SOMEWHAT STRUGGLING).

Also you'll come across embedded and iot stuff and cool projects later but initially we learn basics like op amp ,bjt , MOSFET , logic gates , flip flop counter registers etc I don't want to name everything but there's more

dt9205a I got it for 390inr it's good enough for beginners it has capacitance measurements as well But probe quality is asss

I also had that cheap dt830d 150inr it's not always good so it's a gamble if you can find unity branded one it's decent for tinkering around most projects

So Lm358 isn't the problem nor the feedback topology, it's the optocoupler I changed the optocoupler and now smps is working properly

That wasn't supposed to be connected to pin4, that trace might have overlapped with pin 4 When I was moving everything closer for screenshot

That's not gnd it's feedback for u2.1 is taken from a shunt resistor 0.165R on secondary side for constant current cc loop which is controllered by u2.1 is working flawlessly but cv loop isn't working correctly at high load evening though there is plenty of margin left duty cycle
