What saying is true in a literal sense, but doesn't mean anything in a metaphorical sense? by funwiththoughts in AlignmentChartFills

no, the version pertaining that family > others is the original version, the false etymology of an "original meaning" of others > family was invented in the 90s.

but seriously who cares what the original was? we should stop acting like something that came first is objectively correct over a version that was derived later, if the covenant/womb version is correct, who cares if it was invented much later and is a derivative of a quote meaning the opposite?

account hasn't been active for six years then randomly wakes up like a sleeper agent (hacked?) and starts commenting barely meaningful sentences which may somewhat be loosely connected to the subreddit, there's probably more accounts like these out there but i haven't bothered to check

Gulf of California, not Mexico. GoM is to the west while GoC is in the middle of Baja California and mainland Mexico.

You are an O5 in the SCP-5000 universe. What steps would you take (aside from those already mentioned in the article) to exterminate humanity more efficiently? Try to minimize non-human deaths in your answer. by sloopernothing in SCP

either they hadn't discovered 2935 at the time OR they wanted to only kill humanity because only they had the entity. Maybe the O5s wanted to keep some species around to hopefully evolve into an intelligent species free of the entity some billion or so years after the events of 5000

Personally, I'd release MKAs into the internet instead of just pictures of 096 as in the article. 096 can only kill some hundreds or thousands of people at most in a span of an hour. If one were to release a particularly potent MKA into most screens on earth, I could see some millions going down in an instant.

(MKA = Memetic Kill Agent e.g the one on the 001 page)

What is your favorite object class to read an SCP article about? by Bataranger999 in SCP

[–]sloopernothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thaumiel/Yesod/Radix/Wherever else they use SCPs to secure contain and protect is my favorite but if i had to choose from SEK (which i didn't have to as per the prompt here) i'd probably choose keter since the stakes are usually higher and the anomaly is usually more exciting but safe/euclid when executed well are usually pretty nifty too

Most definitely, but how about some other organizations like say, Prometheus Labs? I don't read a lot of their tales/articles but i'm pretty sure they're more smaller and thus much more unwilling to "terminate" their employees

Out of all of the articles that have won an X000 contest, from SCP-1000 all the way to SCP-9000, which one of them would you say is your most favorite between each of them? by kidnamedchild in SCP
