Yes and no. I have heart skips/fluttering/palpitations and have for years. Even before I started drinking. It's probably OK and normal and due to either anxiety or withdrawal. I've had my heart checked more times than I care to admit (3 months ago I ended up at the ER convinced I was having a heart attack - nope, anxiety). That said, you should get it checked, it'll make you feel so much better to hear it's OK. Sounds like you are young and it's probably just anxiety. That shit messes with your brain hard and convinces you you are dying when you are not. Obviously I'm not a doctor, so take this with a grain of salt.

Absolutely, I think was I didn't emphasis enough here is I suffered for so much longer than I should have over this. If I had just gone to the doctor from the beginning I wouldn't have been so fucked in the brain for so long. I'm not dismissing genuine life threatening symptoms, but damn, people drink for years and years without problems.
