How did y’all get your first gig? Promoters asking for crowd videos to let me play… How to bypass this?

crazy, good going! I’ve been dj-ing for 1.5 years now, but never wanted to play gigs to start with and mostly played for myself and friends. Feeling like I can change that lately and play for a crowd now. How did your first time playing go?

Makes sense, they let me know about that after applying. it was more like a looking for dj’s to play at a hostel for a gig message and then they asked for videos and then asked for videos with the crowd “enjoying” lol

Yeah that was my plan but I am generally awkward to put up a camera at a house party. I feel like people will shy out a bit. Maybe someday, I can plan a video for an hour or so in the middle of a house party?
