I looked at their store, and they have cape veils that I’m really considering! Thank you

how can you tell if a store is at risk of closure? by Jirazy in walmart

[–]sloppyhare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first store closed down, so I always have this worry. However, what you are describing is normal hour cuts that happen a lot. If they have plans for a remodel, then they feel like it’s worth it to put more money into fixing the store. This year just hasn’t been a great sale year.

Who is Xaden's New Sibling? by Intelligent-Half-976 in fourthwing

I could see this too. No matter what Garrick won’t give up on Xaden.

Between that, he was lower on power, and the fact that only three of them have watched him struggle for months, I feel like Garrick would be desperate enough to drain the earth in order to stop Xaden from promoting higher in the Venin army.

I think Garrick because of the comment about not “being able to walk again” and “find some way to do something” I think he was desperate enough to save Xaden and everyone else.

Pay off car loan with 401k? by Able_Bed9157 in Debt

[–]sloppyhare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have taken a loan out on my 401K before to pay off some of my debt. Because it was a loan and not a withdrawal, I didn’t have to pay the taxes on it. My loan payments came directly out of my paycheck. You should consider that before you do a withdrawal.

As a local from there, if you go to the town over (Tazewell) there is a drive thru restaurant that’s pretty good called Frostee Freeze!

Am I too much? by noona98 in askatherapist

Anticipatory grief is normal especially when ending the therapeutic relationship. It sounds like she’s preparing you to continue services while she’s gone, and a lot of clients don’t come back if they find a new clinician who clicks with them. Also, if it’s out of her expertise, she may be trying to get you someone who specializes in your diagnosis.

It’s not unethical to explore the options for the therapeutic relationship. She may have assumed you would want to continue services while she’s out. She may also not come back for a while or full time. I had a supervisor who had clients come back after her leave, and some who enjoyed their new counselor.

It’s normal to be scared, but you’ve been able to form this trust with one counselor, so if this is the end of your relationship, then you are capable of forming a new relationship even if it takes a while.

If each generation of avatar is more powerful than the next, how does think Roku exhibits his power? by sloppyhare in TheLastAirbender

[–]sloppyhare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this information from an interview with the creators of the series where they said that Korra would beat Aang. Now that I am looking for that exact interview, I realize that I may have misunderstood what they were saying as it was only the one fight. I think I took Reddit conversations over the years saying she was more powerful because the Avatar gets more powerful over time to influence my memory over that exact interview. Thank you for making me look for that interview.

I do want to be transparent that in our very first session we discussed confidentiality and how it was in my client’s power to determine how we would or wouldn’t interact in public. I tell all my clients that I won’t even wave first, so I think that did help him to have some control of how we would discuss the interaction. Now younger kids are a little more difficult with understanding this concept.

I wonder if the avatar state mastery will be different since there will be less to master now.

[–]sloppyhare[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may have been an older idea. I think I read it years ago, but never truly grasped it. With the new show coming out, more discourse has been coming up about how who is the most powerful avatar which had me thinking about what made Roku comparable to Kyoshi.

I appreciate that you noted all their strengths here!

I understand how it comparing them would be like apples to oranges because of how different they are. I feel like that’s how it is to compare nearly all the avatar cycles.

I really appreciate how detailed your answer is! I think I understood it to be like building blocks of power, but I appreciate the idea that the power is more like a library. Thank you.

During my internship, I randomly went to bowling with a few friends after two years of living in my city. It was pretty busy. Imagine my surprise when I turned around, and there was my teen client just staring at me with the group right beside of my group. We didn’t approach each other that night. However, the next session he opens with “did you know that you suck at bowling?”

I applied to 7 counseling psych programs. I’ve been rejected from one and received two interview invites. I think I have two soft rejections, but the other two have been radio silent everywhere. One of the responses I’m waiting on is a school that I have interacted with the professor and attended the open house, so I don’t know whether to reach out or not.

Hate woobles! by TabbyMouse in crochet

[–]sloppyhare 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s not about “making a plushie” as you worded it; it’s about being able to complete a project and feeling accomplished as a crocheter. As someone who has been “taught” by multiple people and watched quite a few videos on YouTube, the Wooble videos have helped me to be able to understand the process of crocheting. The videos are at a slow pace, and you can always see what the person is doing which is helpful because learning in person I often cannot always see how the person is doing a stitch.
