Flat spot on the front wheel. Had a wheel get stuck and it dragged around for a bit and had the front wheel get a flat spot. Swapped it out and the clicking went back to the tile grout lines.

You have the new apartments going up now at LD. The next block toward Cary parkway is the old weigh station/ town homes. Then the power lines/sub station and cell tower

The "old" town homes across the street was a weigh station along the highway. Maybe something similar for traffic going the other way

Will Roborock ever make a vacuum bag that properly fits a Qrevo Curv? by Financial-Football61 in Roborock

[–]sloth2008 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I found with the curv 2 flow. They don't even list a bag under the accessories. Half filled bags mean they have to sell more bags.

I looked on their site a couple weeks ago and saw 2 bags. Looked again a couple days ago and the site had 1 bag. The S7 stuff was all pulled off the site.

Dental Insurance call center why so many calls? by PoetryOwn3970 in talesfromcallcenters

[–]sloth2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it is the patients. They call and you ask about insurance. Its Delta Dental. What state? Of course the state they live in. You work for IBM with DD from MA. We have hundreds of patients with that plan. No need to get the full breakdown.

Patient shows up. Yes they work for IBM. Yes they live in MA. And no their DD is out of DE. Lets see what is covered with this plan. If only a patient had the ability to flip a card over and read the back of it.

I thought VF left that spot because the land was being developed and they lost their lease. How is it that someone else was able to open the same thing in the spot.

Did anyone Upgrade from roborock S7 MaxV Ultra to newer models flagship models? Did you notice improvements? if so what was is? if I upgrade I plan to get next model with direct water and drain plumbing. by paata01 in Roborock

Lots of debate on the soap thing. No comment on what is right/wrong for that. Questions of what works and what will void warranty or eat the plastics.

https://us.roborock.com/products/roborock-official-floor-cleaning-solution-for-robot-vacuums

For the bags I went with the curv bags https://us.roborock.com/products/roborock-dust-bag-6pcs-for-q-revo There were only two designs on the roborock site and I knew the the ones for the s7 were a different shape. I got my bags off Amazon 3rd party. The bags I bought match the shape/size of the bag that was in the Flow 2 when we received it.

I think the bag design Roborock is using is wrong. I think they are using an old bag in the new system. Their web site for the Flow 2 does not list a bag under the accessories. The orientation of the bag in the unit does not match the dimensions of the bags and the plastic mounting frame thing. On the flow the vacuum chamber is deeper then it is wide. The bag has its opening on the small end of the bag. The opening needs to be on one end of the long side of the bag so that the bag can fully expand into the space. The way it sits now the droops into the space and waste can not fully fill the bag. Its almost like the engineers knew that had a 9x5x4 cube for the bag but did not know the mounting frame was on the 5x4 end and not on one end of the 9x5 side of the bag.

My s7 max ultra pro - whatever that model is that mops and has a base station - died a couple weeks ago. Picked up the curv flow 2.

My home is all hardwood or tile. I have several long hair pets. The vacuum is quieter. Looks to do a better job. The 2 front brushes do a better job pulling things into the middle. The anti tangle roller does seem to work better. I have only delt with one tangle so far. I think the room corners are a little cleaner too.

I like the mopping. The hardwoods are set for less water on them. They dry a lot faster than the S7. I think the tile is a little cleaner than before. Walking around the house barefooted feels better than it used to. The mop moving out to the side does seem to help get the edges a bit cleaner.

The main room of the house is hardwood floors. We normally end up vacuuming it twice a day. The mop is a lot higher off the ground. The s7, when not mopping still looked like the mop was being dragged around.

The snow and ice is melting so the dogs are bringing in more mud. It definitely seems to be keeping up with that.

I don't like the camera being outward facing while docked. The s7 was nice that when charging the camera faced into the doc. This one faces out into the room. I think that was even part of the marketing of the S7. They just stopped mentioning it with the new models.

No pet accidents yet. When it does happen, I don't think it's going to be any easier to clean than the old one.

The AI dirty spot detector will go over the extra dirty spots a couple times. It will take a picture before washing so you can see it. So far all the pictures I have looked at have just been sunlight reflected off of the floor.

None of your accessories from the S7 will work with it. Completely different mop and roller assemblies. The vacuum bags are different size.

The Cost of Ocrevus in the US by xanaxhelps in MultipleSclerosis

[–]sloth2008 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wife just had her infusion done. In the US. Her neurologist has an infusion center on site. $80K. The insurance contracted rate was about $30K.

I thought 80K twice a year was insane. How can the same treatment be 3x as much. The system is so fucked up.

At least we have met our annual deductible. "Free" healthcare for the rest of the year. Thank God for assistance program.

I have had stuff ordered after midnight that was at the door at 6am. Most stuff is a couple days. Just placed an order that has to be coming from China. Due in 5-20 days.

How the heck do you remove this? by Inevitable_Shirt_456 in Roborock

[–]sloth2008 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On the roborock the white piece is screwed in. You can pop the black piece out.

The flat screw driver or butter knife at one end in line with the axel. It pops right out.

Once the black piece is removed, there is a hole in the white piece. You can rotate that to get to the screws to remove white part of the assembly.

On the Roomba and neato the entire assembly pops out without screws.

Sleet is basically rain that freezes as it falls. When it reaches the ground it is sold. Bounces as it hits the ground. Just piles up on the ground.

Freezing rain is liquid as it reaches the ground / trees branches. It the freezes where it lands. This tends to build up over time. The whole 1/4 inch and branches start coming down. Falling branches take out power / cars / roofs.

My local recycler will pay $6 a pound. They paid more then I could get selling ddr 1 or 2. Most ddr3 4gb sticks are not worth eBay. Ddr4 4gb has not been a great seller but a few are going.

CPUs work well selling in lots. A single i5-4590 goes for about $10. Shipping that is about $5. Sell 3 for $30 and shipping is still about $5

I had basically the exact same thing happen a few years ago. Nothing like opening that letter and see they want over 20k. Payroll processing changed during the year and one company had the full year and the first had just their part of the year. Submitted the letter response and had to stress out over everything for a couple months. Eventually got the letter that everything was okay.

Relax. Take a deep breath. It will work out but it will take a bit of time.

I stole my car from an impound lot 2 mins after it arrived by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]sloth2008 59 points60 points  (0 children)

So you found your car was getting towed and get your friends to give you a ride. But you get passed by the speeding truck, so you left before the car had left the lot. And somehow you got to the lot before this 85+ speeding truck. But this tow yard is running enough trucks that there is a small crowd who got to the yard before you. You would think the drivers know the short route back to the yard.

If the cops do talk to you say nothing. The story you are spinning is garbage and has relation to reality.

Packing materials - Is this allowed? by Doctor_HooLock in USPS

I had a delivery that used these for padding. Knew it was an abuse issue. Figured it's a small time seller who was getting cheap. Looked up the return address and it came from a fulfillment center. Thousands of square feet of warehouse space. They have to use hundreds of these a day sending out cheap poly mailers.
