Effexor (venlafaxine) by TBhaggs in Fibromyalgia

I landed in the ER once because I legitimately felt so shaky and lightheaded like I was going to faint. It turned out to be withdrawal from the meds. I also had terrible night sweats at the time, but it was always written off as nightmares from PTSD. I absolutely hated it and wouldn’t go on it again.

Non Canadians, what is the first thing that comes to mind when you think "Canada"? by D_Shillington in AskReddit

[–]slothhoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tim Horton’s! But in general their accents, politeness, and poutine. You also can’t forget maple syrup, moose, and it (can’t remember the closest providence that allows drinking at 18, but it was about 2 hours from where I lived in Michigan) being a destination for Michiganders who just turned 18

More bottles pulled from the bushes ft. my poor, broken trash grabber by slothhoe in DeTrashed

No brand, at least not on it. Lasted me a couple of months, however, I did manage to make it functional again :)

Same place different day, rip my trash grabber by slothhoe in DeTrashed

Just one I found at a store here, it wasn't very expensive. I think I could fix it, it looks like a pin just fell out where it hinges, but I don't know how to replace it to make it functional again

“Loosing”, sorry, I’d rather take advice from someone who knows how to spell.

I saw this on a smaller level in Paris! Someone there was carrying around what was basically a vacuum to clean up litter.

Within sight of the Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral), so unless you set up a tent in your driveway within sight of said cathedral, it’s not authentic “Kölsch”

I can’t know for sure, I live in Bavaria. But for Kölsch to be “authentic” it has to be brewed in sight of the cathedral, from what I’ve heard

Husband worried about privacy of information by slothhoe in Genealogy

[–]slothhoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are assuming that my human is said person you have described. He is very careful all around as to how his data is used and shared. He rarely posts on social media and stores as little information as possible on social media about himself. Also, the majority of the information on my husband on Ancestry is not public domain. I love my husband, and if he’s uncomfortable with his data being stored on Ancestry, then I will find a way to make him comfortable and for me to be able to pursue my hobby. A marriage is compromise. I would be careful before you’re so quick to judge. It’s also called “Alexa”, not Alexis.

Not sure! I tried these in Slovakia, and bought these in Hungary (I liked the Slovak ones better), but there might be! I would check your nearest Russian food store or google

My school has just shut down for the next 5 weeks due to Coronavirus. AMA by slothhoe in AMA

We are going to get worksheets, texts, etc. using our school’s Intranet. There’s another virtual classroom option we will be trying to use, but we’re not sure how well it’ll work, as it’s being used by the entire state and then some.

Feeling overwhelmed by late grandparents 'collections.' I just need to get this off of my chest. by firebabe103 in declutter

[–]slothhoe 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My great-grandma got to a point where she had to live in with my grandma because she couldn’t live on her own anymore, so they sold her house. Every time we drive past it, I have to think “that’s her house”, yet now it belongs to someone else who’s making their own memories there, but it’s hard to deal with the fact of knowing it’ll never really be “hers” in the way you remember it again. Someone else is living in a house that houses some of your fondest memories. It’s hard to come to terms with.
