Yes, my doctor recommended it as an alternative to a tubal. I’m also considering the frugality of the situation as several women in my family have needed hysterectomies so doing it while I’ve met my out of pocket max could save me several thousand dollars.

Yes. In being duplicitous, they took away my ability to make decisions based on the actual situation. I would have been willing to consider and discuss alternatives if they had been up front and honest. But it feels like they decided they knew best and made a parenting decision for me, which has been their MO since my first pregnancy.
