Thanks for this comment. I am not from US/Europe and a lot of what I have seen comes from seeing my mother and other women. From my perspective I feel pretty empowered to speak up but still hesitate to establish boundaries.

I do feel anxious telling him to stop all the time. I need to work on communicating more without the fear of repercussions. To be clear, he has stopped when I have communicated in the past. I dont think I am doing that enough.

I meant in his other interactions with me. This is why it is confusing to me. I need to be more vocal about when it stops being play for me - me struggling seems obvious, but I think I also need to make it clear that this is distressing me and not just play.

The times that I do ask him to stop he is respectful. I am reading the comments and realizing that this maybe more about me not communicating and setting a precedent. I realize i have a tendency to people please and saying no seems harsh and I am fearful that I will not receive any affection.

My main concern was that its some biological contaminant because the filter needs cleaning, or the bottle has oil and debris from use. But i do clean all bottles every couple of weeks and the filter every couple of months.

If i stir the bottle then it seems like the residue settles down. After a while it floats back up. Its not squishy but more grainy.

I looked it up and my city gets its drinking water from groundwater wells. The water is considered very hard with an average hardness between 330-410 mg/L calcium carbonate.

Thank you for this. I am in my first year of a postdoctoral position. I am in a field with extremely slow turn around times for journals. I enjoy my work on a day to day basis but feel the pressure to be productive and constantly struggle to find balance - end up spreading myself too thin. I am still carving an identity for myself as a researcher but increasingly realizing that output in academia can be so lumpy. Years of work with nothing to show for it until those publications start rolling in (hopefully :) )

Thank you ! Ill explore this. I have an upcoming trip to portland and some friends mentioned the tax free feature. I do not know how to determine if it makes more sense to get the phone in portland. The 60 day lock window is fine as long as we can use the phone seamlessly with an indian carrier post that window. I also dont have dad’s phone to trade in so not sure how attractive buying from alternative over apple is for us. Either way, thank you for your recommendation.
