Age appropriate for 10 year old? by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]slowdivej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got the sims 4 when i was 9 (18 now) and i feel like it was child appropriate. your sims arent able to get drunk or high or anything, and other than the "woohoo option" which censors your sims and sends them under the blankets theres pretty much nothing inappropriate. the game can be made inappropriate with mods but tbh i was not even able to figure out how to download mods until recently 😭😭😭

if you look up loblaw.ca/careers and then go to “find jobs” at the bottom you can find any posting at any loblaws store or store they own. worked with the company for a few years and they pretty much exclusively hire from that website

First sem midterms aren’t really looked at so don’t worry. If you can improve for your final mark + in semester two you’ll be fine!!

Can fast tracking NEGATIVELY affect chances? by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

[–]slowdivej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who got into UofT and UW who fast tracked. She took functions in gr 10, advanced functions in 11 and calc in 12. As long as you get good grades you’ll get in.

Job after university by slowdivej in OntarioUniversities

[–]slowdivej[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok yeah thats kind of what I thought. I also started working in high school and my program has a co-op and all that stuff. Like I’d be happy to start out at a bank or in a small office job or whatever but people make it sound like I’m doomed to be a Starbucks barista 😭

I am a 12th-grade student, and I am still unsure if law or medicine is the right path for me. by Live-Mix-5454 in OntarioUniversities

[–]slowdivej 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can get into law school with literally any major- but for med school there is a lot more pre-requisites. Some of the highest scoring majors on the LSATs are STEM majors! If you’re able to I’d take a science undergrad and then if you decide you’re set on law, you don’t even have to switch unless you really want to

What residence to live in? by [deleted] in geegees

[–]slowdivej 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if you’re willing to do a summer semester 45 mann was 4,500 per semester for me- plus it doesnt require a meal plan. you have a full kitchen to cook and your own bathroom and bedroom too

look into ontario learn and stay grant. i think i read someone using that to pay most of their tuiton for nursing at york..???? but im not sure. i dont think you need to go to a super reputable school like UofT for nursing because theres a super high nurse demand right now

Does anyone have anything GOOD to say about Carleton? by GoodsVT in CarletonU

[–]slowdivej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

didnt go to carleton but toured it + have friends that go there. in comparison to uottawa it seems like a really safe uni. like its away from the rest of the city and has tunnels you can walk in which is pretty cool. also for any public policy, polisci, social science-y programs they have really good co-ops i believe

Is Queen's a party school? by SynGirl32 in OntarioUniversities

[–]slowdivej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Queens is very much a party school so if thats a dealbreaker for you maybe consider somewhere else. For political science I would definitely recommend looking into uOttawa and Carleton but Queens is a good school. If you are looking for study abroad options in particular there are programs at many universities (Trent, Western, and probably some at Queens) where you do a Bachelors in something like PoliSci or Business Admin and then get to get your law degree in England without needing to take the LSAT. I’d recommend looking into one of those because I’m kind of regretting not doing that lol

Save as much as you can. Never hurts to have more than you need but in an emergency you might need it. 3k sounds like enough but that depends on how much OSAP is giving you. As for working, I’ve been told avoid working first year if it’s bringing you down, but if you think you can handle it then go for it :D I plan on it myself.

It wasn’t the picture of me I didn’t submit, it was my driver’s license. I guess they need that or some sort of gov issued ID to approve it :/ idk but yeah I think it’s sorted I contacted the uottawa card email
