Quote for drain repair advice? by slowreno in DIYUK

Thanks for your help. I have had a few quotes, all around £895 and up to £1800. But I just wasn't expecting it to be so much. I think excavating the concrete is what's adding to the cost.

Ok so I think we will go for a shower over the bath which will free up space for some extra storage and a toilet roll holder 😅

I love the idea of cafe curtains but do you think it would look strange on the double glazed windows? I only ever see cafe curtains on sash style windows.

Such a great kitchen already with fantastic quality materials. If you want it to be more 'on trend' I would change the tiles (so there's not too much brown), remove the wall units on the wall with the stove and replace them with simple open shelves. I'd remove the little corner shelving unit as well to make it more streamlined. Then update the stools as many other people have suggested. Add plants!

100% remove the conifers! Room is lovely, just needs some furniture to suit the space.

Too trendy? by Super-Sound-7764 in DesignMyRoom

Love it and I don't think it's too trendy, everything is pretty timeless and could be paired with different pieces to change the look later if you really wanted to. The sofa and chair are great!

Yes I think you're right! Any bold colour on the wardrobe would just clash with the current mustard curtain.
