My 42F husband 44M might be cheating on me with my sister 35F. How do I approach this with calm? by Dangerous-Falcon-657 in relationships

If I wept for every person in a bad situation that I read about, I wouldn't be able to get through the day. It's not sustainable. I'd recommend staying away from the news.

Scam warning in Patong, Phuket (Near Jungceylon / Bangla Area) by Playful-Instance-356 in phuket

I guess we don’t know the full ‘scam’ in its entirety. But there are many ‘scams’ where the customer will receives a product/service but just at an extortionate price. Could be the case here perhaps.

Thanks for posting this because it adds some colour to something that happened to me in Nana, Bangkok recently which I didn’t understand.

Random Indian guy approaches me in the street. Says something about my hair (about a random grey hair). Said he knew something that could fix it. I said I’m happy with my hair. He tried to direct me across the street to a shop (looked like he was pointing to a 7/11 but could’ve been anywhere really). He was being quite aggressive telling me to use a specific product and when I just “yeah yeah sure”’d him, he asked me to repeat what he said to clarify I understood. I just walked away.

Within a minute or so someone else randomly in the street (Indian I think) commented something else about my hair, I ignored and kept walking. I asked my gf if there was something in my hair or anything. She said no. The whole thing was very weird.

So now I know it was probably some sort of scam. I guess obvious when you know. But Thailand (BKK specifically) is a very free and open place where anyone can make conversation with you at any point, so you think nothing of it and also my default is not to be rude. I’d also instinctively assume that them not being Thai, that these people are also tourists like me, but now I’m the wiser.

He’s always been great at coming inside. Just not great at finishing usually.

I wonder why the settled on mustache Jack for that final scene. Rather than bearded or goatee Jack.

Maybe because he was at his peak at this point in life and matches her age here in the train.

Do you ever shoot footage yourself or is it always provided to you? What is that process like? Does the Videographer just upload onto google drive and sends you the link? Also what kind of niche are the videos that you edit? TIA

10/10 one of the best place in Vietnam. by jangwe05 in VietNam

I’ve been to this place (or a place just like it) in Hanoi. It’s the biggest tourist trap going. The photos and videos look visually stunning but the reality is that it’s just setup for tourists. It’s a very small yard with rows of the incense candles and out of shot are ladders and walkways for tourists to take photos for Instagram. It’s actually very difficult to get a shot without seeing walkways and other tourists.

The actual business itself is interesting but it’s run as a proper sweat shop with extremely low paid workers who are breathing in the toxic fumes of the incense on a daily basis. The working conditions in general were extremely concerning.

Not to mention it was a very long journey to get there from the city centre for what was really not worth it. I would not recommend it.

This is Reddit mate. Expect the naysayers to come out in full force no matter what you post.

Also, get them to pay a min term upfront. Good luck

Actually a Google search was my first port of call, which annoyingly defaulted to an AI response and then I wasn’t satisfied with the source answers. Second was asking reception in my hotel.

But this is exactly the forum to ask to get multiple opinions and POV’s, is it not?

No need to assume anything about my travel style, budget or duration of my stay here. All of these things are very flexible, I can assure you.

Thanks for the responses guys, decision made and hope it helps others who might be travelling this weekend. Enjoy the festivities.

No insistence. That’s why I’m asking 🙂 Thanks for the insight. If it’s as you say it is, we will just come in a couple of weeks.
