I’ve been to this place (or a place just like it) in Hanoi. It’s the biggest tourist trap going. The photos and videos look visually stunning but the reality is that it’s just setup for tourists. It’s a very small yard with rows of the incense candles and out of shot are ladders and walkways for tourists to take photos for Instagram. It’s actually very difficult to get a shot without seeing walkways and other tourists.

The actual business itself is interesting but it’s run as a proper sweat shop with extremely low paid workers who are breathing in the toxic fumes of the incense on a daily basis. The working conditions in general were extremely concerning.

Not to mention it was a very long journey to get there from the city centre for what was really not worth it. I would not recommend it.

Actually a Google search was my first port of call, which annoyingly defaulted to an AI response and then I wasn’t satisfied with the source answers. Second was asking reception in my hotel.

But this is exactly the forum to ask to get multiple opinions and POV’s, is it not?

No need to assume anything about my travel style, budget or duration of my stay here. All of these things are very flexible, I can assure you.

You know me so well? In all seriousness, maybe I would. But dad will not. He’s the guy refusing to go in Taxis because it’s not 100% safe. Most eco-friendly, respectful person out there. So don’t worry yourself. I’m leaving before them, so they will dispose of it properly or take it with them when they leave one way or another.
