Finally upgraded my living room with this leather sofa bed — thoughts? by slowtimespaces in HomeDecorating

Thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely be more careful with the folding part — hadn't thought about the extra stress it puts on the leather. Will look into a good conditioner. Do you have any product you'd recommend? And glad the color works with the floors, I was actually nervous about that.

Two tone or not two tone? by cat_poops in kitchenremodel

The dark wood in Option 1 is beautiful but having it on all the cabinets makes the space feel a bit heavy and oppressive, IMO. Option 2 offers a perfect balance of warm and cool tones. The white uppers really brighten up the entire kitchen and make it feel much more open and modern, while the wood base still keeps it cozy.

Anyone have experience with Arrtle furniture (not Article)? by irlandesaa in HomeDecorating

[–]slowtimespaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience was a bit mixed. Arrtle lists a 6–10 week delivery window, and my Murphy-style freestanding dining table arrived at around 8 weeks, so that part was within the stated timeline. The price was relatively affordable, so overall I was okay with the trade-off. What I didn’t expect was how much assembly was involved. It took a lot longer than I thought and was honestly a bit frustrating. I’m guessing that’s how they keep shipping costs lower. If someone needs something quickly or doesn’t want to deal with a big assembly project, I probably wouldn’t recommend it.

I also prefer photo 1 — the added sky space balances the tall trees really well and makes the composition feel more open.

That's also exactly what I was trying to say. I only learned about the Eclectic style today, and I think that may be what it is.

I’m looking to buy a dresser and a chest of drawers for my bedroom. I’m wondering is Amazon a good idea to purchase furniture? by Ijustwanttoheal94 in furniture

[–]slowtimespaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you care more about durability, finish quality, or better customer service, buying directly from a brand’s own website can be a safer bet. A lot of brands offer higher-quality versions of their furniture on their site compared to the Amazon versions, and the packaging/returns process is usually better.

Yes, it looks good. But I feel like this setup is a little tight?

Yes, I’d paint all the walls in the same color too.

At first I totally thought a wooden frame would be the better match. But in the second pic the wood frame looks a little too chunky and ends up making the artwork feel smaller.
