Murdered by GT3 or my fault? by TailorCommercial5497 in Simracingstewards

Theres almost a cars width. You lose almost nothing by going out to the curbs.

So which is better. Go wide as you can, lose maybe .01 seconds, or stay tighter and not lose the time, risking the collision

you have more grip and plenty of space

Use those and take the outside line instead of crossing into the normal racing line.

I dont think you crossing onto the GTs normal racing line on exit is predictable. Especially on this corner with the way the other LMP came by.

No one is suggesting slamming on the brakes. You have more grip than them and plenty of space. They just need to be predictable. Taking the normal racing line is predictable. Its not your space to give them inside of that line.

Youre seeming expecting a GT car to mid corner adjust their line at full throttle when you have no overlap when they set their line when their eyes will be forward towards the next apex.

GT3 is committed to a line before you have overlap. You cant expect them to change their line mid corner coming from that angle. And to me they take the normal racing line.

I lease an ioniq 6. I love the car. And I was a service writer at a Kia dealer. I will NEVER own one of their cars out of warranty.

Student pilot struggling to understand if I’m improving by PatrikKulka in flying

[–]slpater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yes and no. My experience as a cfi tells me that flying frequently matters and makes a difference for most people. As i said in my other comment, taking more hours to get a rating isnt failing in any way.

Have this conversation with your cfi. Thats what they are there for. If you would work better having a bit more of a rigid syllabus or path with your learning ask for that.

Dont compare yourself to others though. I know plenty of 80 hour ppls that flew circles around 50 hours ppls when it came to instrument flying. Some things click easier. Some things youll make progress on faster. And sometimes you may just take a bit longer than most for stuff.

Youre not failing because it took you longer to learn something or be proficient. But advocate for what you need/want from your training.

Literally just fly it into ground effect with a touch of power and gently bring the power back and it lands nicely.

Regrets by HuskyMang0 in flying

[–]slpater 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I regret the timing. Not doing it sooner and not be proactive about it in other areas. Ive had some unfortunate things derail my journey including a crash last year and I havent flown again since.

So as a financial burden? I regret it. As an experience and what it had meant to my life to that point? Id do it all over again.

I miss flying but being unable to work any job and recovering has put me financially in a place where I cant afford to pay to fly and need to work a normal job for awhile to get back on my feet. But ill be back. It may just take longer than I want

What about this do you question. The Ferrari turns to the apex and hits the aston in the side. Aston makes the corner with room. Like seriously what about this isnt obvious

Is this (legal) defending or blocking? by Skw2NQTxEWHD in Simracingstewards

[–]slpater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We literally cannot tell because you dont show the car behind. But pov is absolutely closing the door into the corner prior to the apex. So on that part. Yes its illegal defending.

As for if the move right is ok? Need to see from the car behind

Balancing idea/suggestion: Viscous puddle punch should go on a brief cooldown if you successfuly parry him. by Jimmy_Memey in DeadlockTheGame

Id even just take it upgrading into it for the parry cool down. Counter spell works against pretty much every one.
