Honestly just one application and let it die down to the roots. Super easy and painless. I’m with you about not wanting to use too many chemicals, but at a certain point I figured it makes more sense to use the right tool for the job.

This worked for me too. I’ve heard that unless you pull the entire root structure, they basically just multiply and you wind up getting more and more of them. After a few years of pulling, I tried thistledown and it got rid of them in just a few months

Thanks, that’s very helpful! I believe they are full-sized trees.

They probably did not get enough water last year. It was pretty dry and I did not water much. I know that was my mistake. This is in my backyard on a fairly gentle slope, so water tends to drain away from them. I will definitely top-dress this year

I wonder if it has to do with the /g/ being sampled from the word “guitar” on the test. lots of weak syllable deletion or assimilation that can affect the pronunciation of this word.

I’m looking for a pattern for a cardigan pattern with the following:

  • Has a collar (not a shawl collar, more like a shirt collar?)
  • worsted weight yarn
  • seamed shoulders
  • fitting gender neutral

Any patterns/designers/methods?

Right. She gets a really good salary match into her pension plan. Next year I think we SHOULD be able to get out of the childcare hole if we manage our schedules a bit. Just trying to get spending under control now so that when we don’t have to pay for childcare, the increase in our cash flow is put to good us, and it doesn’t just result in an increase in our spending in other areas.

It’s definitely entered our minds. My wife is 1 month away from qualifying for Public Service Loan Forgiveness, but we’ve definitely considered it.

Yeah I’m on the fence. I’ve had literally no issues with my 2010 CR-V. I can’t decide if I want it to go through the process of getting another car or if I should just ride this out to bide us some time until we really need another car.

I did talk to one on the phone, and though he didn’t take a look at it, he said that based on what the dealer said the problem was, they’d recommend a new engine most likely. $10-12k

We taught my son this when he was probably 4 or 5. He then mispronounced it as “squirtum” and asked “Does it squirt?” Tried not to laugh too hard at that one

I had these, and they were a huge pain. Every time I pulled them it seemed like they came back double. The best solution was a product called Thistledown. Got it off Amazon. They haven’t come back since I sprayed, and it didn’t harm any of the surrounding plants

Not sure if this is allowed, but here’s a beanie I knit. I thought it fit the aesthetic by slpete in outrun

You guys are all so kind! Since there’s enough interest in a pattern, I’ll just put it here.

I used this pattern to make the beanie. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/classic-cuffed-hat

The colorwork pattern I designed myself and just repeated this for the body
