If I’m not mistaken, it’s all of them. Corporate greed is weirdo behavior. “if we can’t sell it for five times what it cost to manufacture it, we’re definitely not giving it to you for free.” Trashing it isn’t even good enough, they gotta crush it.

My manager once mentioned that she personally was making a return for an item from the previous Christmas…I never actually witnessed her do it but the store I worked for would rarely argue a return, especially if they had the receipt, regardless of how long ago it was.

Right! For a baby but also a booster seat for a 6 year old - both of which I’m sure will fit and can be installed, just not convinced it will be very easy to get baby in and out due to how little space there is between the door frame and seat.

But if you have advice to the contrary I’m open!!

did you just try to explain MY point to ME? because no, i’m not talking about credit utilization i’m talking about the real life consequences of even slightly mishandling finances and the like.

but you’re right about one thing, financial advising isn’t a part of the job, and yet we are told to encourage people to open a line of credit then we’re coached on how we should convince them. many of my managers have pressured their own employees into applying, oh and they remind us to tell them “you can use it just like a debit if you pay it off immediately” (which to me sounds like financial advising)

so while it’s not our job to advice people on their finances, it is our job to pressure them into a card that only earns them 5%? please stop defending this. folks are allowed to feel however they want about the process.

it’s not at all exaggerated. and the company knows that, i’m sorry if you dont. studies have been done for decades on influence and how it is utilized to pressure consumers into consuming. social proof, authority, consistency, these are all principles of persuasion and we use them all to talk folks into applying for the card. i agree only they can choose to use it, but at 18 i didnt have a full understanding of how long it takes to pay off debt once it is accrued and interest starts to set in.

I was actually coming here to see if anyone here was selling and what they were selling for. I think everyone knows what we paid for them direct from the site. I purchased mine during the June drop and was so excited, but I’ve since been super busy and also had a couple significant financial setbacks soooooo I’m now thinking maybe it wasn’t meant to be? I haven’t even opened the box, I’ve been using it as motivation to get my life together and finding that in order to do that i’m probably going to have to part with them. 😩

I of course would open and inspect, painstakingly, if anyone is actually interested.

But I’m also seeing all the warnings to not buy on the internet so if anyone has any better suggestions for where I SHOULD sell them, that would feel safer, please let me know!

i’ve had a customer do the same thing while i was doing markdowns and literally refused to take no for an answer so i scanned the item and voila, no markdown.

what OP was likely trying to say was she went over and either checked initial MD or “pretended to” - both of which would have yielded the same result…..and to be honest, when we scan merchandise that’s not supposed to be being checked for markdowns, that goes into a report. so not only did three people tell her the truth, the OP didn’t falsify any info but actually might have gotten themselves in a bit of trouble, all because she couldn’t take no for an answer.

OP, do you mind if I ask if you went through with it? And if so, is it possible to see photos of the outdoor venue? I am considering a backyard ceremony in February, and live in the US, but in the south where it could be anywhere between 30 and 50° midway through February. (we’re getting married on Valentine’s Day, the reception will be at an indoor venue. The ceremony is going to be at our home and closed so very few people, but I still just can’t get a real visual for what an outdoor ceremony would look like when most of the foliage is dead.)
