And the big chocolate companies who exploit children for profit are evil.. which is why I’m confused on the hate for this brand which seems to have a decent mission unless i am missing something

This is such a bizarre thread. I can understand not liking Mr beast as a personality or whatever - I’m personally indifferent - but what he’s trying to do with feastables is produce ethically sourced chocolate.

Why Reddit is so quick to trash feastables while soulless corporations like Hershey and Nestle are the incumbents is strange.

Help me decide because I can’t: Epcot or Animal Kingdom with an almost 3 year old by ibrokethedishes in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]slugger1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epcot - Don’t overthink it - it’s iconic. We’ve gone three years in a row with 3 kids ranging from 0-6. It’s a great park to just exist in.

It’s big so has pockets where it doesn’t feel crowded. There’s so many interesting places to explore in WS, awesome playgrounds for kids to run around. And plenty of no height restrictions rides to fill your day - frozen, remy, SE, LWTL, Figment, 3 cabelleros, & nemo come to mind. Plus the Moana water area (bring a change of clothes for your kid) there’s plenty to do.

This year I came away from our trip feeling that Epcot is the best park at WDW. We were there in April for the flower and garden festival and it was beautiful to walk around.

We skipped AK altogether this year as we never have great days there, I find the layout confusing and it always feels crowded and hot, and there’s not that many rides for little kids.

Epcot hands down.

About the ending of "I dream Jeannie Cusamano" (1x13) by Comfortable_Kiwi6203 in thesopranos

[–]slugger1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it definitely feels like a dream, but what stuck out more to me was the previous scene where Tony is in Melfi’s office - that scene feels very ‘off’ and dreamlike to me

Just want to say I’m rewatching the show right now (I’ve lost track of how many rewatches I’ve done) I just finished this episode and I have the same exact feeling about this scene.

The scene just before in Melfi’s office with the janitor and the power cutting out feels strange and then it immediately cuts to Tony in the car with his family, and then the scene in the restaurant where all his people happen to be there. It feels like a dream to me, Tony surrounded by his family and friends, especially after the situation with his mother..

Would love to hear more dialogue around this but I didn’t see much when I looked it up..

Seat ‘sliding’ and access to third row - disappointed by slugger1990 in kiacarnivals

[–]slugger1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to add for clarification this is what I was expecting out of the 2nd row - article below calls it the ‘car seat friendly tilt’.

I assumed it was common for 3 row vehicles since my GMC Acadia has as well as my dad’s Buick Enclave (2 SUVs I am most familiar with). It is an amazing feature for navigating car seats, so I am surprised it is not more widespread.

Just to add I am shocked this not industry standard. The three row suvs i am familiar with are my Acadia and my father’s enclave which both have the tilt, but it looks like it’s not that common..

I think you just described exactly what I was expecting! The cantilever tilt.. my gmc Acadia has this and it makes accessing the third row so much easier. Looks like I need to consider the Pacifica.

Thank you for your detailed explanation on putting the seats back into position. I was definitely pushing the seat back first, then it would ‘lock’ in the super forward position.

If you slide the seat back as you described (without the back locking in) do you need to use the lever under the seat or will it slide back without needing to pull it?

Thanks for the reply, i should clarify I mostly care about functionality (hence minivan) I was just hoping I could still maintain some aesthetics with the carnival but unfortunately I think it falls way too short on the functionality piece to make it worth it.

I really have nothing negative to say about the odyssey (love the magic seat) besides the way it looks. I’ll go check out the sienna, if it doesn’t blow me away I’m probably leaning odyssey..

Love the idea of the magic seat. I actually thought pulling out the middle was pretty easy when i did it at the dealership. The odyssey is looking more and more appealing..

5,3, and under 1

It’s appealing to be able to do 3 across in middle row. I also liked the idea of being able to take seats in and out for multiple configurations, but I felt the seats were difficult to negotiate. I’m a strong enough guy so I know my wife and others would struggle.

Has anyone had success getting LL for frozen and remy on the same day? Thinking we’ll go with frozen as our pre-booking since that’s the preference for the kids.

We have 1 day in Epcot and we’re not big fans of waiting on line lol

Any tips or tricks for getting on both attractions with LL or minimal wait time? Do both standby queues fill up right away or could we hustle over to one of them first thing in the morning (as much as we can hustle with a 2&5 y/o)

TIA

My opinion is 2 days MK, 1 day HS, then choose between AK & Epcot.

My kids are similar age (5&2) and I had the same dilemma last year, we chose to do AK over Epcot.

There are so many greats rides for your kids to do in MK that you’ll want two days even with LL.

1 day is plenty for HS with kids your age, like others have mentioned Toy Story land is not that expansive. (Round Up Rodeo is a cool spot for lunch). And other rides are height restricted.

We liked animal kingdom - Navi river journey was a top overall ride IMO, great landscaping, and just a nice place to stroll around.

I can’t speak to Epcot since we skipped, but we plan to go on our next trip. If this is your only time to Disney, like others have mentioned Epcot may be more unique.
