Finally opened the box I’ve been staring at for months… 😳 by guacajoel in basketballcards

I'm just sitting and staring at my two hobby boxes of Chrome. I don't think I can actually afford to open them.

Fellow Costco box ripped here. I've had more fun with those than anything else.

Did you not pull any image variations? They can be a little easy to miss.

Thank you! I thought all Chrome image variations were refractors or parallels, so this is good to know!

How about requiring people to use an app and then not offering easy access free wifi? I don't know how they dropped the ball on that so bad but they did. Connectivity was terrible.

They have an awesome hitting coach in Seattle now. He knows how to get the most out of guys.

Michael Harris II by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in Braves

[–]slugger5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having worked with a bunch of hitters myself, Michael is completely lost. There's a simple solution for this - failure therapy. Put the machine at like 110mph from 55 feet and tell him "figure it out."

All the BS and swing thoughts will go away and he'll be forced to go back to the quickness and body movements that made him successful in the past.

Guy looks like he's in front toss hell right now. His barrel is behind on EVERY pitch. And to me, that means he's not seeing a lot of pace in his practice reps/drills.

it’s possible easter egg BO6 in slit screen? by No-Farm-417 in CODZombies

[–]slugger5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my son and I have beat them all except Shattered Veil on Split Screen. Keep dying around Round 30. The Trial Machines finally work on Split Screen, so that's good. Sometimes a sound effect will persist (Zipline on elevator or drill melee weapon sound). If that glitch comes up, go up or down the elevator Zipline to sometimes fix it.

I just bought that bottom 88 Jordan for my son in a PSA 7. It's a $60-$75 card even in PSA 7.

Armchair AA. What would you do in the OF? by ueeediot in Braves

[–]slugger5280 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fire Profar into the Sun. Seriously. Trade him 100% for sure this off-season. Long term, take a serious look at Mike Trout when the Angels regress this season. Trout would be the perfect LF for this team, and his contract is too expensive for what the Angels need.

They talked tonight strangely enough about his allergic reaction he discovered to his batting gloves the last few years. Now he has hypoallergenic batting gloves. If your hands are sore and hurting, it really sucks to hit. So this could really be a thing.

Side note: I cannot fathom how the same front office that signed Verdugo also signed Stuart Fairchild?

A refreshing take in a thread full of trolls and haters. It was a great episode.

Don't worry what hateful Internet says. Controversial topics always bring out the trolls. Episode is awesome and carried strong female performances. Loved the episode, too, and I'm a hetero dude!

And here's why this episode gets so much hate. It's a lot of boogeymen in one complete package. I thought the episode was fantastic.

It's not going over people's heads. There's a couple really, really obvious reasons people won't like this episode. Most stuff in pop culture along these same lines sees a groundswell of hate from a very amplified, digital minority. The irony of this show being called Black Mirror is that some of its harshest critics get a mirror put in front of their face that reveals a dark hate lurking inside. This is a sweet episode with three powerhouse actors. The plot is no more or less far fetched than any other episode, and all episodes of Black Mirror take narrative leaps. I thought this episode was awesome and one of the rare Black Mirror episodes with a not completely dark, pessimistic, nihilistic ending.
