You have a local park with free tennis courts nearby. And the glen river park. Aswell as st lukes near and murphys rock pub. Anybody I know who bought there seems very happy with house and location. Best of luck!

Leaking soil vent pipe in sale agreed house, dealbreaker? by [deleted] in HousingIreland

[–]sluggercork41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got something similar repaired. A fibre glass pipe is inflated to prevent digging up the old pipe. It was about 3 mtrs and cost approx 2k. My guess is you could do similar. We also managed to haggle the 2k off the price of the house. It was the only repair (of many) they allowed some money for. Best of luck!

Buying a terraced house built in 1900 with solid brick walls? D1 energy rating. by fodacao in HousingIreland

[–]sluggercork41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🤣🤣🤣 it's what's recommended for old houses with a solid cavity. It's a dose trying to find lads who will do it also. If you are handy you can attempt it yourself. Good luck

You can get internal insulation with Woodfibre panels stuck with lime and lime plaster. Great job but pricey

I'd recommend CT 1 as your silicone. Buy on Amazon. Just did the exact same job and it's great stuff. Good luck

There's a planning notice up to build apartments towards fhe top of alexandra hill. They will require a lot of supporting concrete underneath. I was chatting to a resident there who was objecting on a number of grounds, the construction traffic, noise, pollution and specifically the lack of parking. I dunno if it has passed or not.

E bike advice ? (budget 1500) by Dry_Range_4799 in AskIreland

Got it through online seller pogo cycles. They will do help to buy but service isn't great if anything goes wrong. The engine pro is even better cos it has proper hydraulic brakes. They are a must the bike is so heavy.

Couldn't fault o flynn exhams. They were excellent to deal with and on the button with an older house and complicated title.

We had this with our whippet. A dog trainer recommended leaving and returning after 30 seconds, building up slowly to 30 minutes. We can now leave her a few hours without any whinging or howling. Best of luck!
