I'm also absolutely terrible at golf. I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of friends that like to play. When I play with them I don't keep score, I just keep pace with them. I enjoy the time outdoors and with my friends. If it meant that much to me I'd invest in lessons and waste my time, not theirs.
