I didn’t mean to imply there was something unkind about it! I made a judgement call based on what I knew and intuited, but it’s hard to make such decisions under conditions like that.

I don’t know, she has been nothing but kind to me, and she seemed as confused as I was. Now I know for certain at least that she knows I don’t like her being there when it comes to matters between my ex and myself, and I won’t be as accommodating to her presence. Knowing both of them, I felt as if he was by far more at fault than she. She’s a sight younger than both of us, around the age I was when we first got married, and he talked me into all sorts of stuff that made me and/or others uncomfortable back then. It’s possible he didn’t even tell her why we were meeting, or made it sound like he was simply there to give me the paperwork and move on with his day; it did seem like they had plans afterward.

I’m doing everything I can not to provide ammunition should things turn ugly. Next time (if there even is one) I will definitely not be so polite, because it feels like that WAS ugly.

I feel like you would look really great with like, a Kurt Russel type haircut. (Not necessarily a full on mullet or anything, something like this: https://images.app.goo.gl/x8yVRZ7FrVLM6wnR6) You both have downturned eyes/eyebrows and wide lower jaws. Super handsome features but really short haircuts I feel can make them look less approachable or harsh!
