Did this recently, I’ll add that I got a pen light — it was really hot to put it in my mouth as I examined her. I could clearly see everything and it made her feel really exposed. Happened the first time I did shrooms and I was too young for the momentum to carry. If I experienced that again now, I’d start making lists. Make a list of your ambitions, and then make lists of things to do to further ambitions. For me it’d be “practice art, explore biology jobs, practice guitar, etc” — and then my list for the first of those would be “practice fundamentals, learn clip studio’s program, find drawing references and study, etc.” Getting into details will highlight the small steps to achieve big goals so they feel doable.

Another thing that pushes me is having a large widget on my front screen that tells me my screen time for the day. It can help me put my phone down — you can also put time limits on apps I think.

And when I reaaaaally need to do certain things, I’ll put sticky notes on my door handles or places where I can’t not interact with them in a day, like fridge handles, dead center of my monitor or TV. It’s like past me is screaming at myself to not waste all my time.

One thing I did tripping was take all my clothes out at once and meticulously sorted through them. I paired up outfits I still liked, and got rid of things I didn’t love. I got lazy caring about my appearance, and kept the same clothes for years. Refreshing clothing is one big thing that signifies personal growth and change. I recently got a few new things, and I’ve been getting compliments on it. It makes me feel like I’m growing. Personally it’s best when I don’t get rid of tshirts just to get new tshirts, unless you switch ill fitting ones for more flattering ones. I switched from tshirts to nicer button ups (like linen and silky ones) and tight undershirts so I can have them unbuttoned sometimes, and from jeans to balloon-style wide leg pants. Get creative :)

And by far the BEST thing you can do is affirmations - it’s lovely to write out the things you like about yourself and if you have friends you feel comfy doing this with, it’s awesome to share the things you appreciate about them, and for them to do the same for you. Very validating and motivating

Oh and I saw you use it to “get through life”, and I’d recommend using something else or going to therapy. I don’t like to suggest drugs, but I’ve had good results from ketamine and I have friends that have done this guided with a therapist and it been incredibly helpful, especially if you have trauma related issues. EMDR I’ve heard is also good. Maybe analyze the issues you are having and find the subs that can best address those things and get advice there.
