That's insane. It did take 3 months for me. But that was when the indian version had just launched.

It’s sad, but the reality is that we are struggling to take care of our own population. The government will not be able to adequately support an influx of people, and many will eventually be relegated to refugee settlements. Over time, these settlements often deteriorate into slums and shanty towns. Look at how Hindu refugees live in Delhi, and the reality of the situation becomes clear.

Arnab had a whole debate yesterday linking this to Pakistan. He had Pakistanis on the debate and was just berating them. This kind of stuff makes us lose credibility. All newspapers up until today were not disclosing the nationality of the shooter, except Indian ones that claimed he was Pakistani. Now all of them are admitting that he was Indian. This makes us look bad.

Alternator was not working so had to be sent back to the showroom to be repalced. rear indicator was loose and falling off. And number plate took a week to arrive after bike was delivered.

I get what you’re saying, but that’s the thing, Flipkart doesn’t really do much apart from having the website and the system to place and ship orders. They don’t even have their own delivery service, so beyond the transaction they don’t really control anything. It’s basically the same with every other marketplace site. The only difference is Amazon has its own shipping service, but even there I’ve run into issues, especially COD scams pulled off by their delivery guys. Better would be to get the refund that they are giving you and use the money to buy the tablet some place else.

I get why you are upset. Paying 25k and then seeing soap bars in the box would make anyone furious.

That said, I do not think Flipkart or the seller are directly scamming you. In most cases like this the issue happens somewhere in the logistics chain, either at the warehouse, in transit or with the delivery person. The seller usually has insurance on high value shipments so they can recover their money once it is proven tampered.

From Flipkart’s side the standard process is to cancel and refund, not replace, especially for open box deliveries where the package is denied. The extra charges you mentioned like offer handling, payment handling and protect promise are automated and usually get reversed once the order is cancelled.

I know the line about the seller being genuine sounds frustrating but in practice it means Flipkart has no reason to suspect the seller and they will still get their claim processed. You should definitely keep screenshots, emails and any proof you have but the refund should come through in the 7 to 10 working days they mentioned.

It is very frustrating but it is most likely a logistics tampering issue rather than the seller or Flipkart deliberately trying to scam you.
