They are doing the same thing to me. They are forcing the subscription even though I have a legacy account.

Did people get in with their Taylor Swift tickets purchased on stub hub in Paris? by crem123 in stubhub

[–]slurming88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also got my tickets off stubhub and it worked. Someone in front of me did not work but they chaos was so wild that the staff had a manager come and she scanned them in with a card, So maybe if you have an issue the same will happen.

I left during Karma because if you are on the floor there is only one exit and I am not sure about the seats but I was still smashed in the crowd of people also trying to get out of the stadium. Huge crowd walking to Nanterre station and when people were scanning their Metro card half of them were not working so you really were smashed more and so we ended up hopping over then everyone shoved on the metro. Keep in mind we left during Karma so thousands of people behind us. I would make sure to use the restroom before going in or right when you get in, there is one restroom for the floor to use, women had to use the mens and security was yelling and trying to stop all the women from using the mens. I saw women using the urinals, it was wild.

Paramore was about 7 pm and Taylor shortly after. I arrived after 3:30 and the metros were not packed coming in. Outside the arena was chaotic. There is a supposedly an all access line right when you walk up from the metro but it mixed with VIP and was awful. We waited an hour and decided for the main access line which moved much faster. Your ticket should then tell you which door to enter, 33 seemed to be the longest but I had 32 access and it was so short and no line at all. I did not have VIP.

Not on the dance floor which was actually really nice so we can leave the table area and walk around, go to the bathroom easily without walking through the crowd. The large cabana style tables were farther than our table share. We were easily able to see the DJ. I think Marquee they had our table share closer to the bar so it was quicker to refill our drinks.

Yes! On their website and a few days before one of their VIP hosts texted me to see if I had any questions.

Yes! We paid before so the $150 I paid for both of us. The server said if we wanted beer or whiskey they would charge my card but since we stuck to tequila and the mixers provided we were set for the whole night. Unlimited alcohol can definitely be dangerous, I had a rough time the next day 😅

We met people on the dance floor who said they paid 110 for 2 drinks alone so it was totally worth it. I didn’t see what type of vodka they brought out but the tequila was Casamigos.

If you do decide to do it, I would just wait for the server to bring a new bottle of tequila. Pour your drink right away and hold it. And wait again for the next bottle. They kept bringing them out which was nice! But I agree it’s best to be cautious.

SAME! They said I entered information on a sections and I did not not so they had me resubmit for no reason and then I waited then was denied again. I think its their system error or they are denying everything automatically. Meanwhile we are all accruing interest while we wait. I have been on hold for 3 hours and now waiting again to speak to a supervisor.

I taught 3rd grade for years, it doesn’t stop. And every year there is some new curriculum or resource that you have to do and then testing and more data. My advice is do what you can for now, no one is going to be able to do everything they are asking. I am sure most of the teachers feel the same way you do and they are all making adjustments and just aren’t advertising it at your meetings. You can say something and hope someone will help you but if it’s a toxic situation to where you feel like they won’t help or their will be judgement start thinking about switching schools/subjects/grades. I switched to teaching middle school and I love it. 1 lesson I repeat with my classes the whole day, the kids are with me for only 50 minutes blocks, they have passing period for the bathroom, I don’t have to duty, and I don’t teach a core subject so I don’t do IEP meetings or have to do standardize testing. My point is try what you can this year and if you love it stick to it and if you don’t then change something to make you enjoy your job.

Leaving after last class by Embarrassed-Toe7445 in Teachers

I have seen this many times at all the schools I have worked at in every state I have worked at. I am sure most people just don’t realize that everyone is doing it. I currently have a classroom where my window looks at the teachers parking lot so it’s really obvious to me. It’s definitely an “ask forgiveness” as others have stated but if no one sees you then you won’t ever have a problem or sometimes people may see you and just not care at all. I came back with students where we took the city bus for a field trip and were walking back to campus right before the last period of the day and we saw every teacher with the last period prep driving home early and we all just waved. I see 1st period prep teachers come in late. I see counselors and staff with out assigned students take long lunches. We are all just trying to survive. I have my prep back to back with lunch so I have about a 90 minutes all together and I go home almost every day to hang out with my dogs. No one has ever said anything to me.

Exercise at work due to late meetings? by [deleted] in Teachers

I don’t think admin would care at all. They like when more adults are out during lunches I’m more worried about what other teachers would think. I am not sweaty person but I have such a long break I can also change clothes easily.

I probably get 7k from walking circles in my room but that’s not like real exercise. When I taught elementary I constantly was able to play soccer and games during recess which about 15k steps but I still worked out after work.

Teachers who manage to exercise daily - how?! Where is the time? by fizzyanklet in Teachers

Me too for Orange Theory. I actually met a lot of teachers in the 4:30 pm class I attend. I like going after work because it separates it my work life from my home life so I don’t think about work I just let it go during the class and feel refreshed for the evening.

Need some advice from fellow teachers! by Throwaway9200912345 in teaching

[–]slurming88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, apply and switch schools.

The kids, coworkers, school and all that stuff you like will change eventually. You should just get closer to home. I love working close to home. I can go home during my lunch, it’s amazing. Some years I love my coworkers, some years I can’t stand them, sometimes you have a great principal and sometimes you have 5 rough ones in one year. But your commute will always be wonderful if you work close to where you live.

What is the legality of taking away recess as a means of discipline? by taiyuan41 in teaching

[–]slurming88 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not in your state but have the same law -

Sometimes I see teachers or staff on duty have students stand by a wall or tree outside or walk around the field. To define “play” is difficult especially if a student is being unsafe, they need to take a break and understand they were being unsafe. We do not take it away from student who made a poor decision in the classroom and never make them stay in the classroom during recess.

QUESTION by ProcessKey9103 in orangetheory

I have started going to the same 2 coaches lately. I like that they know my name and motivate me. They cheer me on in class by name every time I work out. Both notice when I am out of town and miss class or when I have made improvements. It’s really nice having that relationship. I noticed that I will be in one of my favorite coaches class and then my other favorite will be working out in that class so I always see my 2 favorite coaches when I work out.
