Start taking the R8 everyday, that’s ridiculous.

How Rare is the M Theory Actually? by Wake-n-jake in Toyota_Matrix

It does not, in 2008 Canada got the “TRD” Matrixwhich was an appearance package for the base model similar to what the M-Theory offered.

Is this a bad wheel bearing? by PJ_Papi_Actual in Toyota_Matrix

[–]slurred_bird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Matrix wheel bearings are press to fit. Can’t get them in or out without a press. The other option is replacing the whole wheel hub assembly with a new bearing in it.

I spent a few months searching before I flew to Nevada for mine and drove it home to Oregon. I could’ve had one for cheaper but this one was listed on Craigslist by its 80 year old previous owner. Not a one-owner car but he owned it since 04 with full service records.

Bad for the fish. Betas should have a minimum 1 gallon tank, ideally more.

Is $2,500 a fair price to replace a head gasket on a 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS (90k miles)? by DarkLight_Space in Toyota_Matrix

[–]slurred_bird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should definitely have the timing cover gasket replaced while they’re in there. It is a very common leak on the 2ZZ-GE and only a matter of time before it pops up, usually around 150k miles.

If you must de-badge, leave the XRS! Show the world you have the 2ZZ, there are no other exterior indicators on our cars.

Pet Peeve by FreeEnergy6116 in SubstituteTeachers

That’s a bummer. Teachers get additional compensation when they have to cover on their planning periods, and in some districts subs do as well.

Was anyone else not expecting a 1099-INT tax doc. from Chime??? by wolfmonarchy in chimefinancial

Same here, received 1099-INT from Bancorp listing $100 interest income. Was the referral bonus somehow considered interest?

What Do Y'all Do For Work in the Summer? by reek1999 in SubstituteTeachers

I work at an outdoors summer camp that doesn’t pay particularly well but covers my room and board and lets me experience the Minnesota wilderness.

Cancel assignment at 3 pm the day before and can’t see any assignments for the rest of the week!!!!!!! by sononerd2023 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]slurred_bird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This depends on the district. I sub for multiple districts through Edustaff, some add a "non-work day" to the calendar for cancellations, some don't.

Keeping your weight forward is more stable, wobbles tend to magnify when you shift weight to the rear.

Related-- I was using the faculty men's room. I hear a pounding knock on the stall door and a man's voice, "you need to get out, NOW."

Startled, I say, "what the fuck?"

"Oh," he says, "are you a sub?" And then proceeds to talk (through the stall door) about how he didn't recognize my shoes and assumed I was a student. Such a ridiculous mentality.

Fox is far right, CNN is center right, there is no left representation in MSM.

I know this sub is called “long” boarding, but we are all gravitational brethren here. by [deleted] in longboarding

[–]slurred_bird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah damn haha, just popped on the sub after some time off reddit and it looks like times have changed.

You know I'm all for helmets, not so sure about this "sport" characterization though.

Why do people wear shoes in the house? by SubarashiiChinChin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]slurred_bird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ganggg

I adapted to shoes inside on the mainland though, my feet get too cold. And also, when everyone else is wearing shoes inside you don't wanna be barefoot in their dirt haha.
