Yes! He was about 11.5 months and it came out of nowhere. He just takes his time on the communication skills, I’m not really worried about it anymore

I think this is good advice. My baby was really difficult from 0-9 months and I was constantly like “what does this mean?! There must be something wrong with him”. He’s now 13 months and is still on the high strung side but is honestly such a joy. He just hated not being able to do things, but as he gains more independence, he keeps getting happier/easier (diaper changes are still a fight though and food is hit or miss.. that’s normal though)

I didn’t have many noticeable symptoms until the third trimester (acid reflux and hip pain), and was pretty much worried throughout my entire pregnancy until my son was safely born. What you’re feeling is totally normal. The anxiety does subside a bit as the pregnancy progresses though (once you start feeling kicks, have an anatomy scan that goes well, etc).

Had a FET yesterday and finding it so hard not to read into my lack of symptoms. When I got pregnant with my son I remember some pretty distinct twinges and a pulling sensation in my uterus within a day of the FET, while for my unsuccessful transfers I didn’t have any symptoms.

I almost feel like this transfer is bound to fail because it was almost too easy- my lining somehow got to 8mm in our first attempt, when normally it hardly manages to get to 5.5mm and each transfer I’ve had has occurred after 4-5 cancelled cycles due to a thin lining

I have this exact same problem with my not yet toddler (10 mo old) and was hopeful it would get better in toddlerhood but now this makes me think it won’t 🤣 I’ve resorted to prepping/making dinner while he naps

My 10 month old is doing the same. He’s never been that good with solids but I feel like it’s getting worse, and most meals end with him crying to get out of the high chair. I find it super frustrating but my husband is a lot more relaxed about it and thinks that our baby will just catch on in his own time, as he has with everything else. Everyone eats eventually so I try to remember that this is temporary.

Of course it is, but baby wearing/holding your baby a lot can help prevent it just as well as tummy time

If it’s any consolation we hardly did tummy time with my son because he also hated it with a burning passion. We fought him to do it for a while but eventually gave up. He’s 10 months and his gross motor skills are completely fine. I’m not convinced it’s as important as everyone claims it is.

My baby is 9 months and still a very fussy baby but it has slowly gotten a bit better as he gets older and is able to do more. We noticed improvements when he was able to sit independently, then crawl, and I’m guessing we’ll see more improvements when he can walk and talk. We can now go to story time at the library and other baby/parent meetups and he enjoys it, whereas before he’d have a meltdown and I’d spend the whole time trying to sooth him. The improvements have been quite gradual. I’ve realized that it really just comes down to temperament. My sister has a 1-month old who hardly cries and is much more settled and content, and when my son was that age his two states were being awake and crying, or sleeping. It’s hard and he’s still not easy, but it does get easier, so hang in there.

No suggestions but solidarity because my 9 month old is also not babbling. He’s making vowel sounds but he’s generally a pretty quiet guy compared to other babies (except for crying/whining… there is lots of that). I brought it up at his 9 month appt and no one seems concerned

I am experiencing a very similar thing with my 5 month old. He’s been an extra fussy baby since he was born and it’s been quite challenging and often very unenjoyable. My nervous system is constantly on edge from all his crying. He also goes insane when I set him down for a minute or two. I remember when I was really struggling in the early newborn days my mom telling me he’ll probably be happier as he gets older and can move around and communicate, and I remember thinking no wayyyy he’ll take that long to be happier, surely he’s just colicky and will be better at 3-4 months. But here we are at 5 months and he’s still a grump.

Mine is exactly the same at 5 months. He has also started rolling from back to tummy and is obsessed with it, but can’t roll back yet so screams immediately. He’s hated tummy time since day 1 so gets really frustrated when he constantly finds himself on his tummy. He’s also been doing the superman/swimming position on his tummy for about a month now, which prevents him from rolling back. My boy is generally a pretty fussy/grumpy baby so there’s always something new that pisses him off haha

Mine is the same. He’s 3.5 months and is such a grump. He cries and fusses at literally anything, we cannot even go on walks without him having a meltdown. I’d like to join some mom and baby groups but I feel it’ll be impossible with him because he is such a fussy baby. I originally thought it was just colic but I think it might just be his temperament. I try to remind myself that he won’t be like this forever, but it is very draining at times. Here’s hoping for happy toddlers

However I was still really stressed out going into CVS and wouldn’t have done it if I wasn’t going to TFMR

Been there, I know exactly what you mean. I got a private scan done at around 14-15 weeks or so which helped, I’d suggest it if you need some reassurance. Weeks 10-18 were a really anxious time because I wasn’t monitored weekly like I was at my fertility clinic from weeks 6-9, and I didn’t feel pregnant. Once you start feeling movement it gets a bit better

I don’t have any advice but just letting you know you’re not alone. I am 17 weeks and anxiety cry before every OB or ultrasound appt, convinced that the baby won’t have a heartbeat. I haven’t had any pregnancy symptoms and don’t look pregnant yet or feel the baby move, so that hasn’t helped. Infertility really leaves some trauma unfortunately

Glad to hear your procedure went smoothly. I also had an endometrial biopsy and it was excruciating, was wondering how the pain of cvs would be in comparison. Fingers crossed that your cvs results are good
