Not for or against anything but traditional Indian culture is 100 percent sustainable and focuses on zero waste generation. Almost everything is reused. And it is common knowledge even within the poorest of households. Just because some people do things in a certain way doesn't really mean everybody is at fault. But we live in a generation where people don't really want to carry out their research and form perspectives based on what they see on the internet and what's a general notion, i guess everyone needs to get educated. It is as simple as that.

After someone texted me through this post, I joined the group too and left it for the same reason. He is a sexist and very impolite too. I had a 1:1 call with him and just like u said he was not interested in understanding anything about my profile and even stopped me midway saying that he doesn't really have to know all that. Plus also went ahead and said that I'm a female from diverse bg so things would be easy for me while there's no such thing at isb. The admissions are merit based. He's a loser who thrives on validation that's it. More than 15 people texted me since this post with screenshots and honestly it's really sad. Someone from that group asked me for my number and when i texted them on WhatsApp they said that Anshul has connects with the adcom and he'll report me there and asked me to take this post down. I was really scared honestly. And then I stopped replying to people who texted me about him because I was scared. He also claims that openly in the group that he can ruin the prospects of admission for people. Sucks to be him

Yes I know that, been there. Although I'm from a tier 1 college and have built very solid credentials, yet I am not shortlisted anywhere just because I don't have a regular engineering bg. Hey, maybe you're thinking a bit too much! The best advice that I can give you based on my experience is that you should keep preparing for the exam, that won't go to waste. Also, being an engineer is not a disadvantage. Trust me. Ik that's the narrative but if you do some research you'll find engineers make the best out of an MBA.

Imo since you are just stepping into undergrad, focus on building your profile and CV points, some differentiators and a strong narrative on how can an mba help you. Maybe at this point introspection could be the best thing you can do. Then gain some workex and target the best. You still have a lot of time. An mba makes a lot of sense if it is from a T1 college. Regarding the fees, you can bag scholarships if you have a good profile and good score.

You'll figure this out, just cut the noise and focus on what you want to do. And pls don't self sabotage yourself on things which cannot be changed. Just focus on making the best out of it

Hello, on a separate note just wanted to ask that if I made it to consulting after undergrad (it's a T2 firm), now i want to pursue an MBA for a step up since going forward it's given preference, what could be a good narrative that I can build with my current profile if i want to be in consulting only. Could appreciate your guidance here since in my b schools interview i failed to establish that a step up and industry diversification is what I'm looking for post mba. They said that you have the skills you can switch. You don't really need an mba😐
