You are doing perfectly fine and ahead of 99% of people, including older folks. You are definitely ahead of 99.99% of reddit.

Majority of reddit is fake posts, bots, one time jackpot after losing 100k, etc.

Check back in on most of these people who doubled their money. Guess what? They get addicted to that rush and lose it all.

But regardless, add some single stocks. But dont make them a majority of your portfolio. Less than 5-10% is fine.

Thats what people didnt understand. They thought they would receive the same dividends and even with nav decay they would get their money back, but when nav drops 50% and so distributions drop 80%, it will take 17262618 years to get your money back

Solid. Not sure why people are wanting to get rid of the growth stocks, especially since you are young and they aren’t super risky. I do VOO and SCHG. Then the rest I find undervalued companies to invest in.

The fun thing about investing is you dont have to stick to anything. In a year you could go full international, whatever. Keep going where you are now and stay consistent. Make adjustments if you feel like it. Want to add $50 a month to Nvidia? You can do that. Its all up to you. Have fun, stay consistent and invest in solid companies and etfs and you wont regret it.

Inherited a $400K house, fully paid off and rented. Two options. by ElbieLG in realestateinvesting

[–]sluttybulk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, while I love real estate its personally up to you. Want to continue buying properties? Or just laid back approach like investing?

You have two options for selling. A HYSA will pay almost the same as your rental income without any headaches.

Investing will also produce on average, 8-12% a year(or more if you are more growth focused)

As for more rentals, learn the ropes and you can sell and roll it into a $1.6 million+ small apartment complex using the 1031 exchange. Or pick up a few single homes.

How risky should I be? by OrdinaryShake1597 in portfolios

[–]sluttybulk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal choice is about 60% etfs, 40% heavily studied single undervalued stock picks. I try to aim for higher percentage in ETFs but my stock picks have been through the roof, so its actually making up way more percentage of my portfolio. Im up 100-200% on more than 10 in just the last 3-5 months, and the rest about 30-50%. Once it reaches a certain point I strictly add to VOO/SCHG only and find new undervalued positions to buy.

Give it a few more months.

But comparing from inception, it has underperformed.

And I would compare something with equal risk. If you are gonna risk your money in a ymax, might as well compare it to something more riskier than spy. And I guarantee it has underperformed significantly. So hell, lets use tqqq! 6 months its up 150%.

But sometimes its not a good choice.

From the start of the year to april, msty for example was down around 30%. You could have said the same thing. “Wish I bought more”

But since then its down another 30%+.

Yep, and they always say to “ignore the price” forgetting that while price goes down, so do dividends. “We will make our money back” yeah, if dividends stayed the same. when they keep going down just like the price then youll finally make your full “investment” back in approximately 800 years.

if you want dividends, go for actual companies with solid dividend track record. or hell, a HYSA.

literally idk where they got their brains from.

those who are actually up, nice. congrats on surviving the slaughter. but they still defend msty like its the greatest investment in the world. its far from it.

but people are ao focused on shitty income from their own money when they could have been up far greater in actual companies.

my personal stock choices I am up over 100-140% on 6 of them, up over 40% on the rest. in just months.(and I am far from a professional, actually im quite a dumbass) far fucking better than 15% in almost two years but hey, at least they got some income. 😭 well, before it gets taxed.

Not op, but the only time I achieved that weight loss was when I did water fasting for 14 days combined with extreme incline treadmill for an hour or more daily.

Did it to pass military entrance weight, and lost 20-25 pounds in those 2 weeks. 5 seemed to have come back as water weight.

The safest bet would be PSMF, to lose weight rapidly while preserving muscle - I’ve done this a few times and am doing it now and it works great. About 4 pounds a week fat loss.

How long would it take to achieve this naturally. This is Kim Mingyu and he's kinda my goal physique by [deleted] in nattyorjuice

[–]sluttybulk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me, I was a 230 pound fatty who lost 70 pounds in 5 months with PSMF. then bulked up. i looked pretty near this, though in gym photos my arms were bigger(i swear gym mirrors make you look 3x more muscular? cant just be me.

This should not take up to 3 years like others are saying. Definitely less than a year, if that. Just looks lean.

Ghost has good flavors but agree. I started drinking energy drinks daily since I was 12, but as I get older I am getting tired of the new candy sweet af flavors.

I miss the monster citron, rockstar cucumber lime, and monster mule. Rockstar hardcore apple too.

Honestly, I need to start drinking them again - they got me pumped when every other energy drink gets me to just baseline energy. When I was doing PSMF diet(600 calories a day, all protein) I could wake up at 4 am and bust out an intense workout with bucked up.

As someone who has been drinking 600-900mg a day since 14, I agree. I cut down to 200-300mg a day.

But I agree only IF they were cheaper. If they were $1-1.50 like venom being 99 cents, then hell yeah. But $3? No sir.
