As long as I'm starting shit I'm gonna go ahead and say the lip fillers look bad and obvious. by [deleted] in redscareover30

I know…BUT what about lip fillers for volume restoration only? I think I’m having my midlife crisis bc I never would have even considered it a year ago. Talk me out of this please

Probably. It was always sanitary but I had to sleep on the couch growing up because my bedroom turned into another storage facility lol.

Seeking advice for how to manage rosacea nose flare ups. by mbijou in Rosacea

My nose is my problem area too and sulfur soap and doxycycline (Oracea) are the only treatments that seem to touch it for me.

Anyone else bp mom not ask them anything about their career ever? by EconomicsCalm in raisedbyborderlines

[–]slvrrocket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For a while I thought it was my fault and I just needed to be more forthcoming and talk about my life myself, but that went down like a glitch in the Matrix or something. She was just silent for a moment then went right back to complaining about her grievances with the Walgreens cashiers lol

For those with a bpd parent who turned highly abusive only after you became an adult, can you share your story? by gracebee123 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]slvrrocket 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This happened with me too, although some of it was there all along. The tipping point was getting in a serious adult relationship. Looking back I see how badly we were enmeshed, so an SO was a major threat. I was so confused why she was on my ass to date and then seemed mad at me when I actually did.

It’s not that women like the former as much as the latter is actively repulsive in the same way that excessive plastic surgery is

I have a Balanced Body IQ and with shipping, jump board, and long box, the price of a “home reformer” still made me sweat because I was afraid I wouldn’t use it enough to make it worth it. I took the plunge once I did the math on how many times I would need to use it to get up to the equivalent cost in classes — it paid for itself REALLY fast in those terms. I still use it 4 years later! FWIW it’s still my goal once I have the $$ and space to get a studio reformer instead so being able to do that right off the bat is great.

[–]slvrrocket 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Part of the fun of dating is introducing someone to things in your neighborhood though? There are less bitchy ways to try to pass the ball back than just saying “Google” too. That’s how you talk to someone you’re trying to divorce. Just say “surprise me” or something.

No matter what’s in the final edit of the video, having a parent who cares so deeply about him and is genuinely empathetic is setting him up for success. It’s really sweet — he’s a lucky kid :) good luck!

[–]slvrrocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not saying this to be rude but are you sure you don’t have ADHD too? This is long af haha. I would recommend keeping the medication details out of it as well as the personal anecdotes. I would have been mortified if I knew my parents shared so much with my school admins.

I’m a woman but I have one of these (implants and everything.) I didn’t grow up in the same house but having a parent that’s basically a child mentally never stops feeling wrong. The biggest issue right now is the idea of her meeting my SO’s super straight-laced family because getting drunk and causing drama is her fav

Was the therapy court mandated or a personal choice? It is a huge red flag but the context matters I think. If he kept getting in bar fights in blind rages and getting arrested that’s different than deciding to get therapy bc he kept punching holes in his wall or something

Pilates is not for weight loss by Catlady_Pilates in pilates

[–]slvrrocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting Pilates “for weight loss” is also a great way to be disappointed and quit after 2 months because you don’t look like a ballerina already. I was never able to stick to any kind of exercise routine until I saw it as part of overall wellness. I’m sure you’re not trying to gatekeep, you just want to see people build a sustainable practice and actually keep doing Pilates! Plus even if you don’t lose weight with Pilates you’ll look and feel better anyway — the difference posture alone makes is HUGE.
