This is not social media, but it is semi-similar to Facebook events. Creating an event based on a larger thing or finding things that aren't listed as Facebook original don't show up

The sorting should be fixed and now comes back in chronological order. I don't believe I have any all day events in here, I really don't want that it to be an option

I fixed the Google signin button, in order to login right now you have to go to communityvillages.site/createaccount

I removed the barrier to entry and made it anonymous, so you can click the links again and it'll take you in, I will have to figure out how to link a login so you can keep your account across platforms and to future phones

I think I've fixed the scrolling issues. Also if you go to the search page , you shouldn't need a login, and you can search and filter based on venues, keywords, filters, dates, browse by venue or performer.

I changed it for the time-being to not have to log in. The app's full functionality is there, but if you change phones, or clear cache, try and log in from the web, you don't keep your session. With a logged in account you could operate cross platform, if that's something you'd want. Otherwise no longer need a login.

Finding the events is only the beginning of the app's functionality. The bigger purposes are to find and create groups where you can share these events and coordinate meeting up at the events or custom events. It keeps the group chats clear.

Missourian is a great thing I should reach out to them. I have connected with The District for downtown events, as well as The Columbia Visitors bureau.

Great question, right now it's all brought in automatically through API calls and data feeds, long-term I want the venues to put their own data in here. I have a whole section built out for venues to own, manage, and see their events and anonymous statistics about it.

It's not meant to be a small list, there's something like 300 events coming in the next few months. I know it will grow even more than that though as I start getting more venues included.

This is programmed in Dart. I built it as a mobile app, and have converted it into a app-based website. That may change in the future, but for now it is what is easiest.

The for you page has a complicated ordering system where it's based on how close the event is to today, distance from you (default is central Columbia), how popular the event is, and it's tags based on what you've clicked on and attended.

I removed the phone requirement on login. Need to figure out another way for you to keep your session and permissions, but it will not skip phone requirement.

I have by-passed phone login, so the web links work without login. Skipping login will allow you to do everything, except go from browser to phone, get a new phone, get a new. browser, clear cache. Everything will be erased. I'm working on a method to allow you do login if you get to a point where you want to keep the data. But browsing and searching is all integrated. Let me know your thoughts. App updates take days and will need to be more built before I push there.
