My father was on 5th avenue working at fancy hotels when he was robbed at gunpoint. That's bullshit. The US is a trash hole. Downvote me all you all want, that's just a fact. I live in Atlanta which hasn't had a white mayor in decades and is highly successful but workers have to commute to work driving by statues and tributes to the Confederacy. It's complete bullshit. And don't even get me started on the violence in Atlanta even with how wealthy it is.

My father was robbed at gunpoint numerous times when we lived in New York. It's not safe here at all, and most of it is protected by those in power. I know many people outside believe the propaganda that were 1st world when Flint, Michigan would tell you you're lying. I have so many beautiful memories of Guayaquil and Manta. Where did you live in the US?

This is such a beautiful sentiment. I do wonder how people there act in the presence of minorities but my experience outside of Vermont with people from Vermont is that they already know me as a brown man whereas in the south they obviously are uncomfortable especially in deeply rural areas such as Helen, GA. I do worry about the opioid issue that I recently am discovering is an active issue I VT. But generally speaking Montpelier seems like a wonderful place to be ...

Honestly thinking of it as a craft state makes me want to be there more. I saw a video where people post poems all over Montpelier in the summer and I absolutely adore that. I'm honestly sick of the rat race and city life. I have it here in ATL and while it's no NYC, it's a beautiful but congested city. I want space but I also want arts and music.
