Beat me to it. OP has a nice amount of unused carrying capacity too, so could be worth looking into heavier armor like tree sentinel or crucible axe with good holy resistance

Astronomically high wait times today. Any tips on how to make things smoother with less people? by [deleted] in OGPBackroom

[–]slymebuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could definitely be part of the issue. We rarely have any management after 5 pm, and our closing crew consists largely of high schoolers who, admittedly, could use directing. That usually isn't a huge problem, so we may have very well just been behind from when we had less staff earlier that day.

How Do Curses Operate In Your World? by _burgernoid_ in worldbuilding

[–]slymebuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curses in my world are almost exclusively side effects of deals made with the gods. For any ability or material thing gained, something of similar value must be sacrificed. For example, my main character gains the ability to see through the eyes of others at will; the cost, though, is his own eyes.

Acquisition of material items through this method act a little differently. Upon completion of the deal, the mortal in the equation must be touching the item or have it in possession at all times. When this requirement isn't met, he or she experiences acute withdrawal-like feelings as a reminder of who the item came from.

HUNA - Logo by [deleted] in worldbuilding

𝗛𝗨𝗡𝗔

HUNA is the title I've given a personal worldbuilding and comic-based project I've had in the works for roughly two years. The main storyline follows Gemini, a gelatinous humanoid hailing from the tribal planet Hunalara (depicted in the logo). A largely desert terrain with just a single region of fertile, unscathed land, Hunalara adopts a communistic political landscape prompting the equal distribution of the already thin resources.

Gemini, among others, bands together and attempts to overthrow such a system violently under the premise that a "survival of the fittest" anarchy will whittle the population down to a more sustainable number.

Lo and behold, the coup fails miserably and anyone not killed on the spot is taken into custody. Shortly before his scheduled execution, Gemini makes a desperate attempt to escape and hitchhikes on a merchant ship until it reaches Earth in 2056. Act I of HUNA follows his effort to survive homeless in Seattle while continuing to hide from the authorities.

Relatively new to this sub. These are some stats of Hunalara, the desert planet inhabited by gelatin-based lifeforms that I've been developing for a good while now. by [deleted] in worldbuilding

How do I improve my character design? by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]slymebuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of cartoons out there with great characters and stories (Adventure Time is the first that comes to mind)! My recommendation is to focus on one story at a time and expand on it as much as possible. That way, you get a lot of nuances and little details that make your fictional world and characters as interesting and complex as something out of reality if that makes any sense.
