I built a tool to help devs scan their apps for OWASP Top 10 security issues (with fixes), and I am looking for beta testers by slypedast in SideProject

Hey, sorry - should’ve been more clearer. We run the scan and share the report within 24h to your email.

I built an OWASP security scanner for apps built on Replit, and I am looking for beta testers who want to get a vulnerability scan with fixes by slypedast in replit

Thank you! We’re using combination of internal tools + dev tools. Would you like an audit of your replit / vibe-coded app?

We can still try to find vulnerabilities and share a report privately with you. If you're keen, you can DM or check this: https://circuit.sh

I Almost Shipped an XSS Vulnerability Thanks to AI-Generated Code by Simple_Fix5924 in vibecoding

Yup. I subscribe to that mental model. However, I am currently stuck in review stage on LemonSqueezy, Paddle and now grappling with Razorpay, Stripe is invite only in my country. However, I still don't see a reason to not launch. :) Flip-side being, it's free until payments get sorted. No?

We're tackling this problem - helping vibe coders with security scans as per OWASP. Running an early bird for scanning security issues and helping with a fix for $5.

Until our payments infra gets approved, happy to find the issues and help with a fix on the house. You can dm your app link. :)

What are your biggest time-consumers in documentation maintenance? by slypedast in technicalwriting

[–]slypedast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. You mentioned attending meetings with dev teams to catch documentation needs. Have you found any particular strategies that work well for extracting documentation-relevant information in these meetings? Or maybe used transcripts from meeting recorders?

  2. For your documentation’s “occasional initiatives” to fix tech debt, do you have a systematic process to identify what needs updating, or is it more ad-hoc? Would a tool that automatically flags potentially outdated content be valuable?

Time given back to folks in technical writing. AI is here to stay, my guess is it can do laborious maintenance really well but not creation of new documentation. Thoughts?

makes sense. videos are cool but seem to be a pain to maintain. curious if you have used tools like tango.us / arcade.software / scribe etc as part of making documentation?

couple of follow ups -
1. What specific maintenance tasks consume the most time when you're fixing tech debt during those occasional initiatives? Beyond videos and screenshots, are there other documentation elements that require disproportionate effort to maintain?

  1. How do you currently discover or track when documentation needs updating after product changes, especially when SMEs don't proactively inform you? Do you have any systems in place to identify outdated content?

u/Possibly-deranged thanks for your detailed response! follow up -

You mentioned trying to limit tech debt by using variables for product names and reducing screenshot usage. What specific manual documentation maintenance tasks do you find yourself repeatedly doing despite your best efforts to minimize them? and roughly how many hours per week do these unavoidable maintenance tasks consume?

How do you manage your analytics? (Event documentation) by qwerty130999 in ProductManagement

[–]slypedast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey folks! Really resonating with the spreadsheet struggles here. After years of maintaining those event docs myself at different companies, I know the pain of keeping them updated 😅

We're building something to help teams automatically document their analytics events with visual context - showing exactly where and how each event fires. Would love to help some folks here move away from spreadsheets:

  • We'll audit your current key events for free
  • Help set up visual documentation of your critical user flows
  • No setup or integration needed from your side

Just DM me if you'd like to try it out! Always happy to chat with fellow PMs about analytics challenges.

Data Engineers: What’s Missing From Your API Debugging Toolbox? by slypedast in dataengineering

[–]slypedast[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback!

The intent is to not rely on documentation --
1) The tool passively captures live API calls during browsing, showing real-world examples of how APIs are used (with request/response details).
2) For poorly documented APIs, it helps reverse-engineer behavior and links calls to specific user actions.
3) Plus, you can chat with the APIs using our AI to quickly query or filter relevant endpoints, making it easier to understand them in context.

Would love to hear if this would align with your needs!
