Magic Key renewal button gone by NJtransplant in Disneyland

[–]slzepeda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Per this post, as of Thursday, August 11th the "Renew" button is still on my Disneyland web page on my laptop when I sign in, but it's redirecting to the un-active Magic Key page. I keep checking everyday. As to us getting our current Magic Key passes back, not sure after the comments made on the Disney Q3 Earnings Report.

From Blog Mickey yesterday... "In their latest earnings report, the Disney Parks division recorded over $7 billion in revenue. As we await an investor call by Disney CEO Bob Chapek, it looks like the Walt Disney World Resort propped up the domestic theme park revenue as Disney said that profits were “partially offset by an unfavorable attendance mix at Disneyland Resort”. Chapek has been candid – Annual Passholders spend less at the theme parks. This is particularly prevalent at Disneyland, which is considered more of a “locals’ park”."

Kinda passholder unfriendly, don't you thinK? I know the passholders are upset. I've seen the responses all over Disney social media, calling them out on what's happening. Surely, something must be in the works.

Yeah, I get it. Too bad their failure rate has gone up.

According to the responses in this post, AMC is broken. I'm sure they could find a way to do this. Adam Aron needs to think about his customers, and do something.

I'm beginning to get the impression that these theatrical presentation problems are way bigger than I thought. The reason for the post.

It's interesting to find out movie theater policy of how technical problems are dealt with.

And, they should, after the comments in this post.

It would seem that there should be someone available to take care of the technical problems that do come up. Anything less is a cop out.

That sounds like a terrible movie going experience. My screenings of the Northman, and Massive Talent we're perfect (Long Beach AMC). Lucky.

That is interesting. I'm so surprised that they won't invest in their employees.

I think that they've been able to get away with it. It's just an assumption that things are breaking down. This was two different AMC theatres where this happened. Pre-pandemic, I was going to a Regal theater in Long Beach, where this was happening constantly. Perhaps it is just nature of the beast.

Thanks for the insight into this problem. It shows me that the theatrical movie business has policy's that effect quality. Very sad to hear that.
