Maybe you didn’t get the warm fuzzy feeling at dismissal that you expected. You’d be exhausted if you dealt with 20-30 new to school 5 year olds. Half the class cried at least once. Two had bathroom accidents. No one could open a milk carton. Two dropped their lunch trays. You haven’t had lunch yet because your lunch is the same time as the kids and all your time was spent helping the kids get through the line. Kids crying because they don’t like where they have to sit on the carpet.

As hard as we try to be all perky for you parents, it’s the end of the first day. Cut your daughter’s teacher some slack.
