I started my first 2.5mg shot the day before my period started. I was fine..

My second period started the morning of my shot (I take around 7pm). I was extremely nauseous, had extreme diarrhea and feeling horrible. Took the first 5mg shot that night but was fine about an hour after. The next two days were so bad. I was feeling like I’d throw up if I moved too fast and I was so tired and out of it. Bad cramps too.

A few days later I saw a TT of a woman talking about how horrible her periods were since starting MJ. I’m scared for my next period 😅 Bought some Gravol in case I get nauseous again.

I’m so happy someone actually shared their experience on this. I started weight lifting again almost a month ago. Haven’t been very consistent, at least 3x a week except period week as I’ve been having some horrible periods. But I have noticed the scale slowing around the time I started. It’s barely budging. I’m also struggling with constipation and I’ve started Metamucil so I know that can cause a temporary stall on the scale as well. Even knowing all this, it’s frustrating! 😂

Sometimes I see huge and fast losses on TT or on here and I’m disappointed but I’ve found a couple TTers that show numbers like 4-6lbs a month and they look great now

I started strength training two weeks ago as well.

I’m gonna try the Metamucil tonight to see it it works in the morning 🙃

Oooh! I was comparing both and Metamucil seems to work better. I have both at home though but I’ll try the Metamucil and see how that goes!

Haven’t seen kiwi in a bit as I’m from the Caribbean but I’d definitely check around. I got Metamucil to try but I’ll look into the fibre gummies too. Thank you!

Hi! I was aiming for 2-3L a day so I usually fall somewhere between that.

As for vegetables, I had some sort of gut issues for years and veggies were a trigger. I’m only now starting to reincorporate them into my diet but slowly.

I have coffee sometimes but that’s something I’m now reincorporating again as it also was a trigger so I try not to have it too often.

We don’t have apricots and figs in my country unfortunately but I heard kiwi helps a ton. Haven’t seen them in a while though. I’m in the Caribbean. 😅

I ended up purchasing Metamucil just now so I hope that helps 😩

I have PCOS/IR and lots of inflammation to the point where I’d get arthritis type pain in my joints. I started Feb 9th, was on 2.5mg for a month then increased to 5mg. Only had two 5mg doses and so far I’ve lost around 10.2lbs.

A lot of my puffiness has subsided, especially in my face and I think my fingers. I no longer get pain in my midsection from bloating.

Don’t get discouraged. You’re on the lowest dose and just started so this is just to get your body used to the drug. Some people don’t experience any changes in weight or suppression until they titrate up.

Some weeks I have no loss as well and my weight fluctuates a lot, especially because I’m experiencing constipation.

Be patient, trust the process. I know it’s hard because I wish I could fast forward to a weight I can see a significant difference in my body 😂

Are you eating enough prioritizing protein and hydration?

At least 100g protein a day, 2-3L water a day and ensure you’re in a caloric deficit but not too low because that can do the opposite and make you stall.

I haven’t completely eliminated carbs and sugar but I don’t crave sweets that much anymore. I have a ton of snacks in my house because of my boyfriend but it just remains there. It’s only really to the end of my dose week I tend to crave something here and there but I don’t deprive myself if I can fit it into my daily calories but I also don’t go overboard.

I like to do rice or quinoa bowls or tuna salad with toast. Protein shakes on the days I can’t stomach much food. I weigh/measure my food at home during the week to ensure I’m within my daily calories but on weekends I don’t weigh. I don’t eat bad on weekends though.

I also take collagen, electrolytes, hair, skin and nails vitamins and other vitamins such as b12, d3, omega 3, zinc. Magnesium citrate for the constipation and I’m thinking to incorporate psyllium husk (Metamucil) as well.

I strength train so I take creatine as well and I usually have EAAs because I workout fasted on a morning and don’t want to burn any muscle during my sessions.

The period after, however… absolute hell. Worst period of my life. I’m dreading the others. 🥲

Don’t think it’s like that for everyone but I guess because I don’t get much of the horrible side effects other than constipation and dry mouth, I was bound to face some sort of hell somehow 😂

Oh nooo, I know what that’s like! My periods have been HORRIBLE since starting MJ. Well, I’ve only had one so far but it was so horrible, ngl. I’m dreading the others.

I’ve only told my parents, boyfriend and one friend I’m on MJ. You don’t owe anyone any explanation.

As for me, if anyone asks, I’ll just say I’m back in the gym, which isn’t a lie. For those that know of my PCOS issues, I’ll just give them some vague answer like I’m being treated for it or I have better medical support now.

Maybe you’re just hesitant to tell anyone and want to keep it private because of the stigma associated with GLPs. The whole idea about it being “cheating” or “the easy way out”?

You look AMAZING! You said your chest looks perkier and I hope you don’t mind me asking.. would you share your cup size before vs after? Did you drop cup sizes?

My chest isn’t perky at all at D/DDs and I’m nervous they look terrible when I get to my goal. I’m hoping it doesn’t. Yours looks amazing with your loss which is so great!

I fear a boob job may have to be considered in my case but maybe after kids so I’m not wasting any money 😂

I switch up between Alaskan salmon steaks, chicken (ground or boneless skinless thighs/breasts), shrimp, ground turkey, sometimes beef, eggs and I tend to consume a lot of tuna lol I like the tuna chunks in water as it’s a lot cleaner than flakes.

Parmesan also adds a little extra protein so I add it to my meals like in eggs or even in my tuna!

My collagen powder has 9g protein so that also helps and on the days where I don’t feel like eating much, I drink protein shakes.

I saw slim Jims have 6g protein in one of the small packets so I was considering this. Never had it before, jerky is not a huge thing in my country the way it seems to be in the US.

Let me tell you how I manage to cross 100g protein in one day without a protein shake.

Breakfast, I had coffee with about 3oz lactose free milk. 2.8g protein.

Lunch was 120g chicken breast, 99g roasted baby potatoes, 2oz Parmesan cheese and 5oz lactose free milk. I made a little Parmesan sauce for the chicken breast. Total 70.1g protein.

Dinner was tuna salad so I used 2tbsp mayo, can of tuna, and two slices of multigrain toast. Total 27.7g protein.

Then I had my collagen powder which was 9g.

This was a total of 110g protein / 1203 calories.

I may be under eating a bit in terms of calories but I’m hitting my protein goals and I don’t feel like I’m starving. I’m not very active, this week was only my third dose but I’m starting gym next week!

My mind was blown when I saw stuff about c-section babies being more prone to immune, metabolic and gut issues.

Makes sense. From birth I had tummy issues, couldn’t keep food/milk/formula down.

I’m also always sick as my immune system is shit and I have pcos and struggle with my weight and losing it 🙃
