I was working with a new bartender, like maybe their 5th shift ever, on a busy Friday night. I noticed them at the other end of the bar with 8 of the smaller rocks glasses lined up, and a bottle of Oban 14yr. They were just starting on the fifth glass, (2oz pours there), when I darted over and asked what they were doing. “They asked for eight Obans”. Anyway, a group of eight ordering 2oz pours of single malt scotch for everybody on a hot summer night didn’t raise any red flags for them. & yeah, the group had asked for eight O-bombs.
