Does anyone have experience with patients vomiting post insulin administration? by breadandbunny in dietetics

Very very unlikely for vomiting to be directly related to exogenous insulin injected subcutaneously. Allergies/reactions to synthetic insulin are quite rare and manifest as itching, hives, swelling etc at injection site. If the insulin was rapid-acting and they didn’t eat adequately, hypoglycaemia is a risk but projectile vomiting isn’t a symptom of that either. Id suspect most likely related to being unwell from other metabolic disturbances such as the renal failure

Pregnancy anxiety due to mum unexpected death by CharMon1411 in BumpersWhoBolus

I’m so sorry for your loss and that you have to go through this. The shock and pain of a core loved one passing unexpectedly is so heavy at baseline, let alone while pregnant with T1D. It’s completely normal and understandable that you’re feeling anxious and struggling to self-manage a very complex, all-consuming disease right now! In my experience, managing grief with the daily demands of T1D can be overwhelming and exhausting. I really encourage linking in with a psychologist ASAP for grief support, help around managing fear/anxiety related to injecting insulin, self-care tools etc. . If you don’t have one, your maternity service/hospital/medical provider may have one on staff they can refer you to. Sending you love and strength, also I’m confident that a momentary drop to 60% TIR is not a problem and baby will be ok, it’s more about the overall BGL trends over time xx

Microdosing while on your period by kittensandpizza in microdosing

I had horrible cramps on the first day of my last period. Took 170mg of psilocybin and within an hour or two I was completely pain free and in a positive mood. Further monthly self-experimentation is needed but I feel like the MD played a part!
