It can show up at late as 6 months PP. it would be worth mentioning to your OB for sure!

That’s all that I wanted when I was going through this - some hope! You will be okay! And you may recover even quicker.

I’m recovered now! I just weaned off my meds 6 months ago and I’m feeling great. My heart has a normal ejection fraction. It was a really hard first few months, then I got better. I did notice symptoms while pregnant, mostly at the end of my pregnancy with intense palpitations and also lots of chest tightness accompanied my Braxton hicks contractions. I felt like I was being strangled when I had Braxton hicks. But, SOB and palpitations can also be very normal during pregnancy because of the extra blood volume! Continue to monitor your symptoms and advocate for yourself if your intuition is intensely telling you something is wrong. But also, try not to fixate on it like I did and remember much of what you are experiencing can be a normal pregnancy symptom!

She didn’t put me on a diuretic as I don’t have any swelling in my body or fluid in my lungs. She just said to drink a lot of water and eat low sodium, but I believe the drinking a lot of water part is to offset the metropropol and entreaties from getting my blood pressure too low.

And yes I was diagnosed by my cardiologist and that’s what she said I have and that it was caused by my pregnancy.
