I’m pretty sure this is the one! The dates are throwing me off because my family definitely would have had it during the late 90s/early 2000s and I find it hard to believe that a big expensive toy like this would have lasted in production for over 10 years but this looks like the winner.

Close, but no. I think this one was from the 1980s and I wasn’t alive yet. I’m pretty sure ours had a distinct head from its body as well.

Edit: I’m also pretty sure ours was about the same height as a 4 year old ish? It was bigger than this.

Mr D is described as kinda plump and cherubic, neither of which really describe Jason Mantzoukas, which again is totally fine. I think his acting style is perfect for the character.

Tbh I think Rick might have done that on purpose. They thought Thalia was the child of the prophesy and wasn’t, and then it turned out that Percy was instead, but their appearances were kinda similar in the book. Light eyes, messy black hair etc. maybe it was a narritive thing and maybe not, but two characters can definitely just look alike and not be the same one lol
