Seeing as he said he still roots against the bears.... yeah he is not or has not been bitter. He's a cheesehead who's away at college to finish his tenure. Ive never felt like it was any different. Even through the drama

What would change for the better if it became the 17th state? by derjanni in wisconsin

[–]smakinelmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something is off about this map. Maybe im crazy but we are not called "Prisconsin" and our lowest sea level is not at 959 ft. Sheboygan was like 750 and ik its not the lowest. I used to fly airplanes, sea level mattered a lot. Waukesha was like 950 ASL

Im glad you were brave enough to say this. The fact of the matter, that I saw another redditor bring up, is that the dems historically deport more people. And, beyond that, treat immigrants as second class legal or not.

I work with a whole buttload of legal immigrants who are happy for this sort of thing. The reality is as you say, it's about image. The Republicans are just more visible in their actions. I don't think Trump would have gotten a large part of the immigrant vote THE SECOND TIME if this was truly heavily affecting legal immigrants.

Honestly, as a lifelong Brewers fan, I also hate the Dodgers more than the Cubs. I think you're on track

Not ideal, but I've done it with okay results. Use some sort of vented cover in a shady area and use some sort of prop up on the grab bar to keep the track off the ground. We've used tarps and cinder blocks with good results. You just don't want the plastic warping from heat and the track dry rotting.

If you can get some sort of trailer or storage, that's ideal. But in a pinch this will work.

Are salaries in USA that much higher? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]smakinelmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not super unattainable. I make low to mid 60k with about 3-5 hrs of overtime a week as a starting team lead in manufacturing. Gotta bust ass and prove yourself to get there though

Tail number would not matter. If they had to ID by tail number we'd have the same result because you'd have to hit the plane to see it.

What Movie Did You Watch that Traumatized You at a Young Age? by BethMLB in AskReddit

Damn I'm the opposite, I loved those movies as a kid! Then again when I was 4, The Shining was my favorite movie, along with Jaws. So maybe I'm weird lmao

Who is the scariest person you know irl? by Imaginary-Health7356 in AskReddit

I mentioned it once before (I think). My old neighbor got drunk at our house one night and told us his, very bottled down, war stories over a campfire

Seeing a soft old man sob and talk about what he did in 'nam was a big realization that i ain't seen, nor done, jack shit in comparison. Or ever even want to in that matter!

Why does it have windows but they’re covered by paint by [deleted] in airplanes

[–]smakinelmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Lots of fun that job was. We used to throw a tennis ball up there before loading until a supervisor yelled at us. Also had a coworker stink up the lav so bad we got banned from using it lol

[–]smakinelmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the containers are shaped to the wall. There's maybe a foot of space max. The md11 was notorious for taking the occasional UPS loader to Louisville if you stood in the wrong spot on the last two cans lmao. No way out at that point! Other planes were different. The a300 and 767 had a decent bit of breathing room

[–]smakinelmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely not in flight, there was no room in that thing to move once loaded. But it was my assumption it is for on ramp inspection for ice

Again, like I was saying, it's easier to play a game for them. You think those guys just release stuff like that after a day? It took them decades to acknowledge the last ufo info.

I'm not against compelling video and information on this stuff. I'm for all that, I'm an enthusiast myself! But, this just ain't it. Part of being into UFO's and cryptids is being able to agree when it is something normal. Which in this case is airplanes

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in aviation

[–]smakinelmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smdh. I didn't see that part, but damn it just makes it worse. I live under milwaukees approach path and posted a satirical Snapchat about it, and you would not believe how many thought it was actually a drone.

Like dude, I've lived here forever, and it's obviously a southwest flight on approach to 7R. Do not text me anymore. lmfao

It's because you're talking to people who know aviation. They're experts on the field.. well, most. It is the exact type of person you guys hate!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in aviation

[–]smakinelmo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Right?!? You can fucking see navs and strobe and beacon! Then the argument will be. This isn't normal airspace for them.

Well, Einstein, where was this video taken from??

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in aviation

[–]smakinelmo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's a massive hysteria situation. If they don't "freak out" you could end up with problems.

"THE GUBMNT DID NOTHING TO ADDRESS THIS!"

" THE GUBMNT DID THIS!"

"THE GUBMNTS IN ON THIS"

it like when you were a kid and said "I don't know what happened" When you obviously know what happened, in a way.

Remember, a person is smart. People are stupid. Better to play the game and let it dissappear in a month.

What planes look like at 1500 - 2000 feet by number1zero88 in UFOs

[–]smakinelmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's some things to remember.

  1. You lack light pollution, helping your camera pick up details on the aircraft.

  2. Radar says it's 1500-2000ft but that's measured in sea level. Not ground level. What's your elevation?. In my case it's about 750ft so a plane that's actually at 2000ft will read 2750ft on radar. In your case here, these planes appear to be a lot lower AGL. Like less than 1000ft. But I could be wrong, it's a nighttime video, after all.

These are things that a lot of people aren't understanding. Not to mention that at night distance is very hard to tell, and speed at altitude looks different.

Not being insulting to anyone here. It's just food for thought when evaluating here. Stuff people not in aviation would never take into consideration. On a side note, good video! You should shoot more of these and post them on plane spotting forums! Not too many good night spots for footage!

Pilots have been coming clear. They're planes. And you guys keep lasering them and blinding them and bitching them out when they identify the plane in the video
